Any chance we see slight Rageblade buffs?

With the exception of Kayle, pretty much no one that should want Rageblade actually builds it. Even champs like Jax and Aatrox who benefit from the phantom hit massively rarely get the item due to its exorbitant cost and mediocre buildpath. And niche users like Shyvana definitely aren't getting it even though you buffed her AP ratios specifically for rageblade.

It needs a redesign more than it needs buffs. Right now, you can only use rageblade if you A. love on-hit effects B. have significant AP ratios and C. are ranged. That leaves it pretty much as a Kayle/Kog item, and they're preventing the item from becoming any stronger. Straight buffs would break them both. We'd end up needing to nerf them into the ground to compensate for the item's increased strength before we made Jax and Yi and company start buying it again.

It will probably get redesigned in the preseason. It's completely failing at all its intended jobs, so that seems like the most likely option. Until then, nothing is going to happen.

i feel that rageblade really was too niche to begin with, so I'm not sure where its place in the game is other than most kayle builds

We all remember how that ended last time..

they fucked it up for melees. they nerfed and buffed it at the same time for ranged champs so kog and that cancer your showing up there still build it.

what they needed to do is remove the attack speed or reduce it. and remove the aoe damage. not remove most of the on hit damage. increase the stacks . reduce the attack speed. reduce the on hit damage to like a 1/3rd of the old. too overnerfed for melees.

its unpurchasable even on jax. its utter shit. i never built this item and did well on any melee champion like jax or yi at all since its rework.

Kog uses it too.

But yeah, I made a thread like this like last week with no response. Rageblade is pretty much never built on the on-hit champions one would think would enjoy it.

I still laugh when I remember how Rito thought giving Yi's W a higher AP ratio would make people want to buy Rageblade more. Like anyone gives a shit about the ratio on meditate.

For the price tag it has, I'd want its component effects to carry onto the ending item (the recurve bow AS is placed in the passive, iirc).

But too many on-hit builds are kinda abuse-able. Remember devourer Vayne before devo nerfs? Every 2nd hit was 8-12% of your hp gone. Even Kog jungle is still somehow well-viable because of how strong on-hit builds are on him.

Right now, it's niche on Kayle or Kog, or inefficiently taken by Vayne/Tristana silvers (and otherwise).

The only buff it really needs, imo, is for the attack speed from Recurve Bow to not be included into the passive.

I think it needs to take less autos for melee champions for starters and see where that puts it. I don't mind the price or build path I just think it needs to be more worth it overall.

Although I don't think it's bad Riot hasn't been too slap happy to buff it. The last iteration of the item was kind of OP (I abused it on Irelia all day every day) and now it has even more potential to OP with the Devourer passive.
