I can't take people seriously when they complain about Riven

Yea, she does damage, but if you let her reach your backline it's your own fault. It's not like she can dash through minions like Yasuo, Renekton, etc, and she can't just run through the minions like Fizz. Riven really has no way of getting to the backline without burning flash. Her mobility really is terrible compared to other champs (poppy, Jayce), and she doesn't have true damage like Fiora, Master Yi, etc. So we have a champ who has sub-par damage and terrible mobility (yes she has a dash but it's really not that impressive as almost every top laner has some sort of dash/ms ability).

And here we see a troll post in it's natural habitat. The troll post is trying to lure those foolish enough to take it serious into a pointless argument. It does this to impress the female troll posts, for mating season is coming soon...

No mobility…?

Her Q? Her E? Do those not exist anymore?

While I wouldn't condone what the OP said, fact is Riven cannot engage on a back line without flash or flanking/wall hop.

I stopped reading there, Riven has some of the best mobility in the game and to add insult to injury, its free.

Are we playing the same game? Because in the game I play Riven has one of the highest snowballs in the game (get two kills early as Riven and you can potentially carry the game), some of the highest damage in the game (A fed Riven can legit one shot an enemy team with all her abilities being area of effect), some of the best outplay potential in the game cause her kit naturally allows for it, and is overall a toxic champion to deal with.

There's a reason people despise this champion.

I can pick apart some of those arguments but I'll just say my issues aren't with Riven, it's with Riven mains. :V

It's not like she has basically no CDs, inherent snowballing w/ her AD scaling shield, and has the ability to 100-0 basically anyone who isn't at 250+ armor.

Honestly, i think the frustration comes from her animation canceling and her play tempo due to low CDs. It's the fact that where riven gets to make 2 decisions every decision you make.

If i was playing chess, and the other opponent would move pick up their piece, wait for me to make a move, then decide where to place it. I'd get frustrated too.

Yea I mean it's not like she needs to build cdr to get to that point or anything. Not like she's a glass cannon if she chooses to build that way (which she almost always does). Riven has only 1 viable build, and that's to build cdr+lethality, but that kind of a build is WAY more effective on someone like Zed, Jhin, etc.

Riven actually has fairly high cooldowns, all double digits at Rank 1, and keep in mind she generally maxes Q which is a static 13 second CD.

The only reason it feels like she has no cooldowns is because spacing out 3 Q's means she's almost always doing something. Also, her fast Q itself takes 2 seconds. Most other champions with 40% CDR will have equal cooldowns. Their's aren't always as impactful, however. Targeted dashes are much weaker for maneuvering than a directional dash, and not many people have a short stun that's almost impossible to dodge unless the Riven is shit (like myself).

Well to be fair, each of Riven's abilities are weaker than one of yours, except perhaps her E. Her dashes are half the range of most and do low-moderate damage depending how fed she is, her W has got ok damage and a small bit of CC. You gotta realize that although Riven is making two decisions for every one you make, she's still doing the same thing as you.

It's like the difference between picking up a chess piece and putting it down versus just pushing it forwards. It's the same result, but with more steps.

She is kinda snowbally, but at the same time not really because if you don't let her get into E+Q range, she won't have the damage to actually fight you if she does decide to engage. Compared to say, Wukong, who can E to you if you step just within it's range (with Riven, her dashes take time and if you walk backwards as she uses them, it won't hit you) and then smack you with 100% of his damage (well 90% because Wu's like to Q+E+auto for armor shred). Basically, if you don't let her get in range then you'll be fine. And if you've got reliable hard CC, she can't poke you under tower either.
