So I have a question for the Lee Sin haters

Tell me what does Lee have now that he has too much of? He has damage, mobility, sustain, and no built in tank. His sustain got heavily nerfed with the removal of spell vamp on smite (something that was the key to balancing him for the longest time). He has 1 hard CC move that requires a lot of set up to use it correctly and is fairly projected when it happens. He has 1 damage ability and 1 stick ability.

His problem in the past were the fact he was and early game champ that falls off hard late game but didn't really. So they removed his ability to 1v1 ADCs with the removal of the massive AS slow. On top of that they had previously made it less safe for him to jump to wards and made his window of downtime bigger. They also have hit his HP regen to make up for his W to help lower his sustain. The only problem I could see that actually came from a direct buff to Lee Sin is that his abilities now front load energy regen on his passive, I think its 20/10 on hit and it used to be 15/15. His buff to his ult is very situational and doesn't apply to the first target. On top of all this his itemization for hydra got nerfed because of the Tiamat changes.

So if you take away Lee's damage or his mobility you have a champ that only really specializes in 1 of 2 things that don't work well on their own. The only thing I could see is reverting the buff to his passive to make it harder to regen energy again. But besides that Lee is in a good spot overall just being popular due to how much his kit fits into comps. It's not his numbers that make him popular. It's literally that he can kind of fit in anywhere and not hurt the team.

Say you have Kindred. You don't want her on your team when your team is burst. You want her on a team that does well with DPS or executes. Lee brings a little of everything to the table so you can fill for your teams gaps. So Lee can help start fights on the burst comp or even get people low for the executes. His 2 specialties are only really viable in the early game.

His sustain was never nerfed. His hard cc is point and click nuke 2nd highest base damage and scaling in the game, requires 0 brain to use unless you want to knockup multiple people, which still doesn't require skill, just timing. His "1"damage ability is actually 2 that deals tons of damage, and his "sticking" ability also deals tons of magic damage scaling on ad,who his insta cast AOE slow. He still can 1v1 carries even when behind. His early game is still one of the strongest. "Less fun to jump on wards" probably hit every Lee sin player than hard that they want to quit the game. I require evidence for the health regen nerf. Lee sin is still okay late game as long as you build him as a bruiser. Lee sin specializes in fast jungler clears, unmatchable early duel game, huge mobility, setting up teamfights, peeling, bursting without counterplay, deadly ganks, being the safest champ in the game makes him scout easily. thata more than 2. I believe I countered all of your arguments, please bring some more.

Damage scaling overall. Defensive stats. Base movement speed. Energy regeneration/recovery. Sustain. Cooldowns too low.

Basically, he is overpowered.... but if they would just cut down on one of these and give him at least a weakness to counter balance is broken kit, it would be fine. In my opinion the way to do it is to chunk his base movement speed down to Morgana/Anivia's level (325). Let Lee have his built in sustain, high damage scaling, high defensive stats (relatively speaking) and being manaless, but at least make him WALK slow, not give him one of the highest base MS on top of multiple low cooldown dashes and a no-brainer "Get out of death" free ult.

no built in tank

Want to check again? he has a self shield/ally shield.
