At first I really liked the idea of role ranks because it is taking off role and autofiled crap.
BUT then I was thinking on how Smurfs will abuse it.
Mid Diamond player Ques as Bronze Top. Champ select he is placed in top and so enemy and team is matched as Bronze. He says 'Hey mid Im Diamond mid let me mid and we win" Mid laner "Oh ok Im Gold Top so thats great"
Team stomps end of story.

A diamond account isn't going to go into bronze elo top lane. Remember, all of the individual elos next seaon will be based off of where the account finishes this season. The only way for a diamond player to play in bronze in the new system is to get a smurf and tank the mmr and that is something people can already do.

That is not how I read it.
Each Role rank is based off last season. The whole point was that if you are new to a Role you are not placed in the same rank as to where you are your best.

You only have one ranking for solo/duo this season so it will serve as the seed to all 5 roles next season. There is no mmr by rank this season so riot has nothing to pull from besides your main mmr.
The Sword Saint2 votesRiot has stated that from their data most people are withing 3 divisions or so of skill with all roles, as most of what goes into performance is actually fundamentals and overall game knowledge and sense.

If by then there is no talk of how this will be resolved, then I'd begin to become concerned. But, until then, have faith - Riot knows of these exploits and will find a way to resolve it.

Im a Gold Swain but a Wood Yasuo. Now I can take Swain anywhere and play Gold and I can take Yasuo anywhere and play Wood.

remakoro1 votesstopping people from picking certain champions is the most retarded idea possible. Even if you forget that its literally forcing the meta in the worst way possible. I dont play adc at all but i have most of the purchased... Only for swapping with ADC as im playing support and they sometimes ask me to pick ADC for them. You wont be even able to secure high priority picks or take some time to pick later in order to counter your laner if they force such bullshit.

Not physically possible because you'd have to pick your champ before queuing which'd be absolutely idiotic

If a Diamond level player spends any real amount of time in Bronze, they are likely bronze level in that position anyway.

Aint you bullshitting us?" But then again. What if i would want to swap with someone during the game or right after it started with some additional rotations later on. Due to some realizations or revelations during the game (like i cant play vs that champion at all) Whats then?
