I think I now know why Vayne feels so frustrating
I’ll keep the salt to a minimum. Her kit is a ball of stats. I can't think of any other marksman kit that provides as many raw stats as hers, correct me if I’m wrong.
- Her innate ability gives her bonus movement speed when running toward an enemy champ, which is a majority of the time since she's supposed to be dealing damage.
- Her Q, apart from the roll, amplifies the damage of her next basic attack.
- Her W awards her for hitting her basic attacks in quick succession, which isn't that hard to do. Coupled with her typically buying attack speed, and she's rewarded with considerable damage for simply doing her job.
- Her R gives her raw AD and triples her movement speed bonus from her innate.
Since a lot of her kit augments her basic attacks, which really can't be evaded like skillshots or even AOEs, dying to her seems somehow unfair since it feels like she didn't do anything too special.
To compare, look at Draven’s kit:
- His innate gives him immense snowball potential, but he can be prevented from cashing in on it.
- His Q bumps up his basic attack damage immensely, but it isn’t without a precondition. If he can't catch his axes, he doesn't get that bonus damage. You can lock him out of it.
- His W increases his attack speed, and refreshes whenever he catches an axe (which he should be doing). However, he still needs to catch his axes, and upping his attack speed so he chucks them out faster can make them harder to manage.
- His E doesn't provide anything in raw stats. It isn't one of those abilities you have no reason not to use; he has to carefully use his displacement. Doesn’t boost his killing
- His R lets him secure kills from long distances, but doesn't interact in any way with his formidable basic attacks.
and 1v2s you if you didnt pick the right champs lol.
to hit late game too.
