the new minion change will really hurt annie and other short range casters.

it seems like a knee jerk reaction someone on the balance team made because they were getting run over by cass E/teemo Q or something. minions actually deal alot of damage when you are trying to trade with someone early and its only going to make certain match ups that much harder for short range harass champs, especially in the mid lane. the reason these champions have targeted spells at all is BECAUSE they are short range and put themselves at risk to longer range champions.

just imagine picking annie vs a or . the match up was already hard to begin with, now she annie will just get bombarded by minions if she tries to trade at all while ori or ahri can just spam Q and be completely safe from any minion retaliation. this is just one example tho. mid lane is a spell spam lane for the most part, so having minions attack one spell caster but not another spell caster seems extremely unbalanced to me...

alot of people HATE the minion mechanics in this game, so constantly empowering them seems like a very bad idea.you already buffed them to do more damage to towers. and, IIRC, they get more powerful based on team level so they constantly push a lane if a team is ahead. this change will hurt more than help.
