Support in ranked game who refuses to buy ward item..

All game long this lux support didn't want to buy ward item and barely used her normal wards.

Is this punishable?

HOW THE FUCK IS THIS STILL HAPPENING they literally take sightstone out of the game and put it on the support item and people still don't know how to a support item and PLACE WARDS riot needs to seriously update the tutorials and bot games so this shit doesn't happen

Unfortunately, not really. I'd personally consider it griefing which is 100% reportable but Riot probably won't care unless they start disturbing shit at high elo and grab the attention of the community somehow. :/

This might be punished at high Diamond or above, maybe, but even that I doubt.

To be fair, she could be new-ish. To support, Lux, or the game itself, and for some reason only item 1056 is in her default recommended, not item 3301 nor item 3303 , which is odd considering she is pretty popular as a support too.

Since the game has role-lock now (assuming this is draft or ranked), im surprised they don't just lock supports into buying at least 1 of the 3 support items before letting them go off. I know it would take "choice" out of the equation but Riot did that themselves with support items in general, so itd only make sense to force people to buy them. Same for junglers and jungle item.

it's never come down to the community, it's always the automated system and judgement calls by Riot

Hashinshin (or I think it was him, not sure) once received a ban that he had to fight against because the automated system picked out a match where he exceeded his opponents' gold income and objective focus despite having a ridiculous number of deaths and very few to no kills

the comments about a newer player in ranked may be true

most people seem to not even realize how much of an absurd gold income you can get with item 3303 and Kleptomancy

I suppose if you wanted to, as a support you could increase your vision count with that ghost ward or whatever(the one that places a ward when you walk into a bush ) by letting a bit of offense or utility go
