I shouldn't be forced to take a loss if my team surrenders

for the TLDR and poll

poll: Should the fifth player who doesnt want to surrender be given the loss if they vote no on a surrender vote? TLDR: even in losing games, I want to keeo trying (esp in ranked) because theres always a chance for comebacks, but ill never know if certain games I couldve won where my team surrendered but I voted no, and I think that player shouldnt be given a loss for that game

non TLDR: Im tired of getting into a game with a a team we start losing then four of them decide to surrender at 20, meanwhile I want to keep going to at least try to win, but nope I see the vote pop up and four green votes and I know my vote doesnt count because all you need is 4 votes and you suddenly are slapped on the face with a loss you mightve been able have be a win.

This is frustrating enough as is after youve placed, but when you are in placements and wont to win all ten and suddenly you get a loss you had ZERO CONTROL over because the game didnt play out and you didnt have a chance to try and carry or do something different, its just stupid.

I shouldnt be forced to take a loss (esp in ranked and placements) On my stats or LP/MMR until the enemy destroyed the core and I had the entire game length to try and carry or talk to my team and convince them we can win ect ect.

everyone talks about how climbing is so easy and you have to carry yourself out of bronze/silver/gold ect

but how can I do that if my teams surrender the moment they start losing?

I could understand if it was a game to the core being destroyed, but wether it be a won or lost game one team has always surrendered in ranked games

when 4 people agree on a Surrender, that is more than enought.

why should 4 people be forced to play if only one guy declines the vote?

im saying it can end the game sure, but they should be forced to take the loss, not me

thats basically throwing everything out the window about "oh git gud" "oh carry yourself" "oh maybe its you? why youre losing" WELL I WOULDNT KNOW BECAUSE I CANT PLAY THE ENTIRE DAMN GAME TO SEE IF I WIN OR LOSE

and when 4 people want to surrender the game must have been 90% over anyway.

you take the loss too because you were part of the losing team. some people just don't want to waste their time and get into the next game asap.

but it looks like that you are the type of guy who feeds the entire game and still is pressing no on the surrender button.

assuming Im the one who feeds but presses no haha funny. no im the guy who does fine in lane but my team feeds then wants to give up but i try and convince them to not /ff so i can carry

when 4 people want to surrender a Ranked game, there is a reason for it usually.

no one surrenders a game when he still thinks that there is a realistic chance of winning.

the surrender system is fine, get over it.

How about in those games where you press no, the people who press yes can leave the game and you can finish it 1v5 until the enemy destroys your nexus? The idea that you wouldnt be given a loss for a game where you lose is ridiculous lol. if your team is surrendering then obviously your team as a whole is far enough behind that surrender is a viable option.

but theres always a chance for comebacks, and no the game can end but if I vote no dont make me suffer a loss wether ir be in stats lp/mmr or both

I clearly want to keep trying to win the game and earn the win. that or it can end the game but if a player wanted to continue trying it should take away his penalties and split them amongst the other four so say he would loss 20 lp and 100 mmr ?

he gets a neutral game or surrendered game

and then the four who vote yes get tacked with an extra loss of 5 lp and 25 mmr

(not the best idea but its an example)

unless you are like 15/0 or have taken inhib by yourself (without sacrificing your base to do it) then you are just as responsible for being behind in a surrender situation.

If I vote no: I shouldnt have to be forced to take a loss because of my teams inability to want to try and turtle, farm up and try and win

Your logic is illogical. Carry harder and maybe your team won't want to surrender at 20 minutes every game?

Arcade Andrew2 votes

this logic is illogical: A game is dynamic, with ups and downs. nothing is ever certain until the nexus is destroyed, however I wouldnt know because people surrender when somebody goes 0/4

see you are using the word comeback, but what you actually mean is THROW. There is a massive difference between a team coming back and the enemy team making several large mistakes and throwing. You shouldnt try and base your stats and your win/loss record on the possibility of your opponent losing a game they should have won, you should base it on you being able to win games yourself.

Actually comebacks and throws albeit are different are not what I am talking about.

A throw is: the enemy team ACE's us with all turrets and inhibs down and with 50+ seconds decides to baron and dragon and clear jungle camps instead. then we respawn and ACE them and push and win the game.

A comeback is: We started the game off slow, got a few kills and turrets behind, around 20 minutes its looking bleak, but we start to get some kills and items, a few more solid kills and some safe farming we get more items and manage to win a teamfight at dragon. getting 3 kills and dragon, late game rolls around we get aced and they get some inhibs. late game rolls around and both teams are at full builds team fight ensues at baron, we pull off the better teamfight and win that, baron and push to win the game.

however neither of which can happen when retards decide going 0/4 by ten minutes is worth surrendering over

League is a Team game, Win as a team, Lose as a team.

You may have failed to convince your team mates to not give up, either you didn't care and left them to fail or your opponents did a better job in demoralizing them to the point of a 4 man surrender vote.

Either way, Your team lost, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, it doesn't matter. The other team won against your team.

Want to improve? do more than just focusing on your game and think about how to win as a team.

you are more likely to lose when 4 of your team mates want to surrender bcus they aren't going to try and win in most cases. And even if riot agrees to your post, allot of players would abuse especially the trolls.

If anything I think the surrender system should be made easier. An earlier surrender option for when your support Garen with ignite ghost is 0/9 at 12 minutes to the enemy jinx/brand. or for when your team as a whole goes 1/16 by 10 minutes. Bad games happen, give us the ability to say hey we fucked up time to try again, or hey this guy got autofilled and didnt feel like trying at all get me out of this game. Go for the general "democracy rules" and have a 3/2 vote win the surrender rather than a 4/1. Too many times have I had a duo in my game that press no even when they are just standing in fountain basically afk just because one or both of them want to "punish" someone they dont like on the team.

I understand you, now that I was 5-0 in lane and my team decides to surrender...
