Why is braum getting his Q cost increased?

If anything he could use a little bit of a damage buff compared to other tank supports.

Back in 5.12 we buffed both Braum's mana cost and damage on Q. He's now looking a bit strong, so we're pulling back on the Q buff (restoring the cost to its pre 5.12 values).

Like the guy below me said, he does less damage than Blitz. Nerfing him to his pre-buff values is just STUPID. He needs the buff he got not a nerf that takes it away.

I suppose it's not that terrible. I guess I'm just not good at grasping the fact that he has one damage ability without ulti compared to others who have two or three. What's making him look strong though? Is there anything that we can go off of besides win rate?

Have you seen laning Braum. Literally toxic to play against but hilarious to play as. Mixing tank and damage on his just makes problems because he could spam his Qs in lane.

How is that toxic to play against? Lol. Dodge q, it's not that fast. Aside from that dont just let him walk up to you and punch you in the face. If braum is destroying you in lane.. chances are that he's just better than you lol.

well actually, the bigger issue is that braum can commit to a target and the ADC can stun them for certain with his passive. It's too reliable compared to other supports

Leona has a root and two stuns though.. there's a lot of cc in the bot lane atm tho, but I find a lot of supports to be reliable.

alright, but compare that to at any point in the game, hitting 2 to 4 autos as an adc and of course he can knock the entire enemy team in the air if they are grouped.

Leona's ultimate is highly telegraphed and her engage is reliant upon landing an auto attack. If she is crowd controlled upon her engage, her entire combo will cease, but braum's passive will not, nor will his ultimate

ADC with runaans means half the opposing team can potentially be stunned in a short amount of time

Let's see. Let's give him this build and see how fun you have fighting him. item 3091 item 3068 item 3006 . Just these 3 alone give him enough damage and tankiness to make your life hell especially if he ever uses his dash to minions and starts the traded in your face. I like to throw in BotRK or Frozen Mallet to make it even harder to get away.

The fact that he only has one damaging ability (plus passive) is a boon rather than a weakness. It means he can get off all the damage he's supposed to do with one easily hit spell, rather than going OOM trying to poke as people like Lulu do with their EQ.

Yet thresh is completely alright..........

I feel like this makes sense only in context of nerfs to Lulu and Janna, since the support playing field is getting leveled a bit. Buffs to Karma and Bard also support this general notion. However, two champions then pop up as concerns to me: Annie and Thresh. I don't want them to dominate Worlds.

This was because he replaced Janna as the #1 peel support?

good nerf, really good. How many time are we going to wait until thresh mana cost? how about tham kench? his Q has the same mana cost and deals Magic Damage: 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+0.65 Bonus Attack Damage) (+0.5 Ability Power) with a slow/stun and 6 seconds cooldown?

Because he got played in pro games, so he got "compensated" like Veigar.

Seriously, Riot? You JUST gave him back enough strength to be viable again, and now you're taking most of it away again? Do you WANT him to fail? He was just barely making it as it was with the buffs! Leave the big guy alone!

Braum has always been viable......

What? Lol. Sure he does less damage than Blitzcrank, but that's just about it. His last buff helped him a lot.
