Conspiracy Theory on Dynamic Queue

Okay, I know this is a little far fetched but hear me out. So we all know the numbers for League players are dropping, Riot won't release statistics, but there are plenty of other sources that can kind of show this is happening. Right now it is at its currently worst state it has been in since it's early days.

My idea is what if they're purposely making a bunch of people quit and hate the game because of the Dynamic queue change and saying they won't add Solo queue back to build up hype when they do add it back? What if Riot is actually making people quit to make MORE people come back if they do release Solo queue.

I guarantee a large majority of hardcore League players will come back at the announcement of a new Solo Queue system for ranked.

Again this is a little far fetched, but could it be possible?

Thats not how logic works... Announcing and hyping the return of solo queue won't bring in ANY new players, and a lot of player that left probably won't bother coming back either. Thats a net loss no matter how you look at it.

I had an idea that they were trying to get people to become sick of League so they'd play whatever new game they're working on lol.

lol so let me get this straight. You are suggesting they introduce a super negative feature to make people quit the game, and then suddenly remove that feature in an effort to somehow get more people to come back?

Where are these 'more' people? If they don't play now or have not played before why do you think people would magically appear and suddenly want to play?

This idea makes zero sense. First Riot is suddenly not going to hit a new demographic and market by bringing soloQ back. People are not sitting around waiting to just start playing the game for the first time if soloQ came back. Not how the world works lol.

2nd it also makes terrible sense for Riot to ever want to send anyone away. This is why toxic behavior is only handled at the very most extreme level. Every person who quits or stops playing is a loss in revenue for Riot. It makes zero sense for any company to ever want to send away any customers.

Wishful thinking. It isn't possible. If it is, I'd still be pissed they wasted my time for a whole season while people who doesn't deserve the rank progress got boosted for free.

I don't' see this as an effective player retention strategy. All available personnel are on the LCU, so everything else is going to be slow or stopped atm for teams that have work to be done there.

I meant for like Season 7. Players will call it the best season ever after not having Solo Queue for a long time, thus creating hype to make old players want to join back, and new players come to see what the hype is about. Once again, a tad far fetched, but it would be funny if this happened.

If they moved on to better games that didn't have the same issues as LoL, why would they want to go back when they're already at a game they enjoy?

I can understand if it's for nostalgia's sake but if they moved on to games like HotS or Dota and they're content with what they have there, they're not going to leave that just to play a game that already upset them.

Not really, not in this season. This is the finals of the LCS soon, so I don't think they can change it anymore.

If this were to be true I would say well played and happily accept it back. Would I be upset? Definately. Would I get over it? If they bring back solo queue yeah.

They want to change ranked, they want lol to be a group experience not a solo one. Group usually spend more money and stay longer. Play ranked with a group attire more player because normal are not seen as competitive.

Their numbers actually started declining before dynamic queue was implemented. Though I'm almost sure it's not declining at a MUCH faster rate. I think dynamic queue was a desperation move that screwed over their core player base in hopes of catering to casuals.
