Riot says they might rework Yasou....
Because he is too strong in low elo while being too weak in high elo. What other champions could use this treatment?
my ideas are: Fizz, Trynd, Riven, Sona

To be fair, I'd just checked, and it seems Shaco's win rate actually sky rockets in high elo and tanks in low elo.
HIs pick rate is rather consistent across all elo so it isn't contributed by potential high pick rate tangent between elos skewing the win rate.
According to LoLalytics right now, Shaco sports a 48% win rate in bronze, and a 56% in diamond.
Yeah because he's tricky to play and many fail epicly with him, but a good shaco player destroys low ELO. Now the nerfs, did a lot of good
I doubt Yas is actually being reworked, but I could be wrong. Your examples are pretty off the mark as well. From my experience, Sona isn't the greatest in low elo, Riven isn't too strong or too weak(saying as I main her, and win about 48-52% of games with her). I don't see much Fizz at all, maybe I just don't notice him. Trynd is just fine, I've seen him in low and high elo games with decent success. @MagicFlyingLlama 's examples seem much more accurate to me. Easy to play, easy to exploit against low-skilled players.
filthy riven main.
Why filthy? IDK this person but Riven smells good <.< https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B7ekPIZCAAA7sCr.png:large
They are not examples, they are just my ideas.
they just have very annoying mechaincs that are pretty simple to exploit. what is your rank?
Fizz is obscenely strong low Elo. I think if you be a filthy smurf, fizz would be my n1 choice
Got a source for that? We've seen him pulled out in LCS to varying degrees of success, so I highly doubt this.
just some interviews I've heard about, I've seen on the discussion boards before
Ahahaha Riven being too strong in low elo funny joke.
But she kinda is too strong at the low elo's.
Sure you have the idiots that play her and have no idea how to play her, but her dashes, knockup, stun, shield that scales off of AD, and ult makes her a huge threat to other low elo players
This is 100% true as to how various ELOs feel about him, but how on Earth do you change a champion to deliberately only nerf them at lower skill levels of play or buff them at high ones?
Everyone plays the same champ, you can't determine champion stats by player rank.
It may be possible to just design a champion that way, but outside of making
more like
- which is, I'm sure, the last thing he needs - I have no idea how they would do it, maybe Riot knows better.
Don't make them explosive kits. The problem at low elo is that they get super fed in early lane 1/3 matches, making them unstoppable killing machines. On high elo, they dont get fed, meaning they remain far behind to be stomped
Ummmm...pretty much EVERY rework that an old champion gets does EXACTLY this. Old champions tend to have less complex kits and are very easy to pick up compared to new ones, because of this, they are pretty powerful at low elo, however the kits are dated and so they don't tend to do much in forms of CC or other impact full effects and so they tend to lose a lot at higher elos, since players know how to play around them.
Example:
Low elo prospective: Yasou has a lot of damage early. His Q has a decent amount of damage and with the knock up can clear waves decently or efficently poke at you (the tornado effect is deceptive sometimes compared to actual hit box), either his passive shield will absorb your poke damage or his windwall will. His E will make him hard to hit with skill shots and will let him gap close onto you, whack you a few times, before dashing back out. Even if you don't feed him in lane, he might roam to bot or top lane to score a few kills, and from there he can snowball since team fighting is rather weak in low elo's. Counter picking is close to non existant since 1.) Players may not know some champs counter picks, and 2.) they may not be familiar with the champions necessary to counter pick.
High elo perspective: Melee champions are vulnerable to harass. His passive is easily proced by ranged auto attacks. His knockup is very predictable and telegraphed making it pretty simple to dodge unless he dashes to you and high elo players will be smart enough to stand to the side of minions were his dashes won't lead right to you. His W is annoying but has a long cooldown so if you can bait it out you can efficently poke at him in a few seconds.
Veigar, Master Yi pls
Riot just needs to buff the players.
