Orianna buff idea

Just an Idea, what if Ori's ball speed increased with her bonus movespeed? Don't make it scale too much of course, but her ball travels really slow. I think that this would be cool cause she could self buff her movespeed and then use it to make a surpise attack with her Q

It'd be interesting, but changing projectile speeds tends to be really weird.

Also, the added reliability could easily break her. She really doesn't need any help right now, the problem is AP items in general being mostly shit.

Even in an AP heavy meta, Ori suffers because of how easy her ball is to dodge. Even as a TF all I need is a pair of boots and I can dodge almost 100% of her Q's cause of how slow they are. I agree that AP items are really crap now, but you can tack on all the AP you want on Ori and if she can't land a Q then she still does 0 damage

Someone made a idea that isn't trash tier, good on yah.

I agree with this, I dont even bother to Flash/Q with oriana just from how slow it is (to secure kills)

[slayer-jinx-wink] Thanks mate! It's nice to see an idea of mine actually get a bit of support instead of being crapped on immediately cause it makes someone "impossible to play".

Or just increase her projectile speed, she's heavily team/meta dependant.

I like it. Her damage tends to fall off against non-squishies around midgame, and by then, it's unsafe to get close enough to grouped teams to have any real shot at hitting squishies in the back - they can dodge long range Qs on reflex. Speeding up the ball would make her a more consistent damage threat, and less of an ult bot.

She makes up for it by the fact that she can kite without having to take time to cast her abilities. They are autonomous. She can keep running away and kiting while she smashes them with Q over and over. I've outrun a yi with his ult on multiple times because I would keep going while I would Q at him, he'd usually Alpha at this point, I would then Shield myself while hitting him on the balls return, W, Q again, bring the ball back, etc. If it looks like you won't outrun him just bust your ult on him and you'll be fine. One should also keep in mind that I play her support so I have things like Frost Queen's Claim to assist me with slows and so forth.

Sounds interesting Orianna +1

ori doesn't need buffs. no one enjoys being 100-0 utility'd so

Hay5eed2 votes

Well, right now Ori's Q does a little too much damage, and travels REALLY slow. Maybe as a compensation they could lower the Q's scaling a bit?

I'd be up for that.

It travels slow so you can dodge it lol...

yeah...that's why i proposed speeding it up a bit. Right now it's a little TOO easy to dodge

It's supposed to be fairly easy to dodge at long range. It's not at all hard to land if you're using it properly.

Even if you try to put the ball far into their lane, like around their caster minions or a little behind them, and then use this to get poke it is still very ineffective. All they do is position themselves to be far away from the ball and then if you try to Q they can still dodge it easily. Worse off, if you try to position your ball far away they might just dive you

Orianna already gains so much from the transition to late game it's frankly not necesary. If you were to buff anything at all maybe you could do a bit for her early game, but a good Ori knows how outplay any lane opponent.

In late game her AP scalings make the QW chunk 60+% of their carry's hp, your shields start to become quite fat, and that Ultimate can single handedly win you the game.

She scales hard and her builds are already highly flexible for a mage. If you want to hit more ball shots, you pick up the minimum 20% cdr she needs to function or put it on amumu who will make your ball the fastest deadliest thing on the field.

Orianna 4 lyfe

I play her almost exclusively support. I max out CDR with item 3092 item 3174 and item 3158 . I also use the 5% CDR master as well. Once I have those three items my Q has a CD of 1.62. You can almost literally throw Q again each time the ball lands. You can easily run a perma combo for as long as your mana holds up.

Maybe. But upvote.Because mages are so weak.(except Ahri, Lux, Lulu, Liss)

Its supposed to travel slow...Thats a drawback and a weakness to a borderline broken kit.

Play with friends, hitch them the Ball and wombo with them like you're supposed to.

As with the other replies, Orianna doesn't really need buffs herself - it's just the fact that AP itemization is extremely poor at the moment. Til Riot fixes the AP item balance, most AP champs are gonna suffer.

It's either that or buffing their damage to such extremes (ie Lux). I play Orianna quite often and I feel that she's really perfect gameplay-wise in terms of damage, but some more defensive AP items would be great to have in the future.

I feel that this would be a Xin Zhao case. The champion itself is in a fairly balanced state, resulting in an uncalled for buff.

Personally, I think it's a cool idea, but it isn't relevant right now.

SUPPORTIANNA SHOWS NO MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a serious note, extra projectile speed isn't a good idea. The balls move slow intentionally. It's because you can place the ball in a location and leave it. The idea is that the enemy will have trouble keeping track of both it and you. The balls are meant to be sneaky, not fast death machines. Ori is for the clever players, not the brute force players. Not that you aren't clever, don't get any wrong things out of this. I'm just saying that that's why the balls move slow.

Hay5eed1 votes

Yes but in order to play the sneaky death machine game, you place the ball either in brush where they can't see it or in their back line so that the ball doesn't have to travel as far to hit it's target... The result is that the enemy just repositions themselves in a location that is a safe distance from your ball and allow them to farm...Lanes has a lot of space

cuddlykitten41 votes

That's why I play her support. It's not the enemy, minions, and myself in the lane. It's the minions, my ADC, the enemy ADC, the enemy support, my support, and the fact that junglers love bot lane in early game. That's a lot of stuff to keep track of on top of a ball. Not to mention that both their bot laners have to be paying attention to it instead of just one person having to keep track. The odds are much better for set ups in bot lane. You also realize that if you max CDR you end up with your Q on a 1.62 second CD right? It doesn't matter if you miss, you get another shot in less than 2 seconds. Even if they juke every ball, they've spent all their time juking. Orianna is more about stressing your opponent until they break than anything else.

meh, isn't needed but a good idea

JerulEon1 votes

Sounds like a good idea. Another idea I had would be to increase the speed boost she gets from her W. I feel like with all of the super-mobile champs and her low base movement speed, it would help. Or just buff her base movement speed.
