liandries to give 5% cdr?

Cuz why not. Wanted to try this akali build but lacking cdr.... :( item 3078 item 3146 item 3151 item 3135 item 3111 item 3026 i can get about 15% runes masteries. without compromising myself too much early game. I know im not playing akali to her strength as an assassin this way. and I can't spell vamp off liandries. going for a more all purpose build is all. Gunblade active works with liandries and her w slows a large aoe. i figured would work well in tank meta.

Because why? That's why. What issue would it solve? There's plenty of CDR options for mages as it is.

actually now that dfg is gone there's one less than there used to have. item 3165 item 3174 item 3115 item 3023 some mages who get morellonomicon might not get athene's and vice versa. twin ghost is more support worthy, more situational / not built as often. iceborn gauntlet mostly for bruiser nidalee or champs like skarner. banner command for tankier ap champs and supports. wota also mostly for specific champions. same for nashors. the jungle item is well for junglers. cdr boots get in the way of mpen boots. Ad champs have ghostblade and blackcleaver for pen. if you rely on cdr boots all ap champs have left is abyssal. oops lol and liandries (facepalm)

So you built two hybrid items, then 2 defensive items, then 2 magic damage items? Why? Your build doesn't really synergize with itself or the champion's kit at all. The Trinity Force screams bruiser, which could work, but the void staff and gunblade yell assassin and the Liandrys sits there wondering why a DoT burn item is going on a burst champion. Just stick with one build, as if you try to go both you remove the strengths of both for a weaker version of someone else. You want burst? Go an assassin build. You want more sustained damage and stickiness + some tankiness? Go bruiser. You want to destroy tanks? Don't pick an assassin and get an actual tank destroying champion that isn't going to be countered by literally every tank in existence.

For the title, because that would A) make the item cost more but feel even less useful to get (I get to pay extra gold for a whole FIVE PERCENT CDR!) and B) makes absolutely no sense for the item. Why would the DoT burn that softens targets up want Cdr, and if it did want Cdr why would it want so little as to be meaningless?

hence the general purposeness. guess i'm trying to do too much at once. Though akali's passive does benefit from ad gaining more sustain and sheen works with lifesteal. I think even though she is an assassin she can be played a bit off character with some success. Like nightblue3 plays tank rengar at his elo and does okay.

it could come along with/in the form of a slight buff and only cost like 50 more gold. or same cost with 50 less hp. botrk is 3300 gold, it shouldn't be cheap either to counter tanks. even Teemo could use the cdr. sure shrooms proc it but lets say they sweep them effectively. all you're left with is blinding dart to get use out of your liandries. ap and magic pen makes sense with cdr. and teemo might want to invest his points in the fury mastery instead of cdr.

I believe in the future maybe they want to divide Liandry into 2 items (the Mpen part and the %HP burn part... Hope they include CDR in one of them...) dunno... maybe just rumours I heard somewhere...
