I'm now excited knowing Kog'Maw buffs are coming.

Seriously this champ just decimates everyone right now if you're kept safe. His early game needs a bit of help but me being the chump I am I run lifesteal quints so I haven't had any trouble yet. New rageblade is absolutely unbalanced on him like it is on a few other champs and it really helped early game out when I rushed it last game. Hopefully they don't nerf it too bad as it's a very nice item on Kog'Maw. I worry about the AOE disappearing since the item is extremely cost efficient and helps out waveclear as much as the old tiamat did.

All that said the buffs have me excited, but also worrying as they're hot fixed. It could break him pretty badly if not done right especially if rage blade isn't nerfed.

If memory serves they're upping his base damage a little bit and undoing the nerf to his base attack speed that he took when he was remade.

The change to his attack speed is going to have a pretty huge impact on his damage output. I'm a Koggy main myself, so I'm glad Riot is taking things slow in spite of the fact that Kog ended up below Urgot-Tier as a result of the remake. Personally I feel like his W needs some base damage rather than giving it three multiplicative scaling attributes (%HP damage from AD, 110% raw DPS boost from AD, x2 OnHit power).

Oooo what do you like to build on him now in Season 6? I probably can't depend on Guinsoo's too much with how strong of an item it is and inevitable to be nerfed back the way it was. I've had him built like an aoe machine gun with guinsoo's and he just shreds through hp.

To preface, I play Dominion. So what I build probably won't necessarily translate well to other maps.

I lead with Manamune on Koggy due to the AD scaling he's got on his W and Ult. The potent OnHit damage when it transforms doesn't hurt, either. Then I follow up with Zerkers and a Recurve bow. Then Rageblade. From there it's situational. Recurve usually ends up as either Wit's or Bork. The remaining slots become either defensive or offensive items as the situation demands.
