reminder that riven and vayne had the same win/pick rates as rework morde for month

he might be too strong atm, but calling him the most broken champion ever is a bit of a stretch.

the 70% ban rate is just what every new released/reworked champion gets, because no one wants inexperienced players trying a new champion for the first time in their ranked games. even if his kit is easy to pick up.

i wonder if riot will ever get the hint on this one.

its also going to take time for people to realize just how hard item 3140 counters him, and what the best counterstrategies and counterpicks to him are.

give it at least a week before screaming for hotfix nerfs.

my best guess is, that they have to increase the counter for his passive stacks from 3 to 5, to make windows to trade with him/his time to ramp up a bit longer.

to put this into perspective, if Darius was released today, hed probably cause the same outcry because people would have no idea what the champion really does, and would try to fight him head on at early levels and generally feed their dicks off against him on their first day of encountering him.

Advocating for a harsh nerf like increasing the amount of attacks before Darkness Rise procs is horrific. You’re better off just nerfing the numbers down (namely the %HP effect) before changing fundamentals like that.

To put in perspective, Morde needs to land both Q and E and auto once to proc his passive. Increasing that to 5 with zero CC just means he becomes even more reliant on slowing items just to access the damage in his kit because there is no way in hell he’s getting 3 autos + Q + E without the enemy simply walking away (heaven forbid they have any mobility)

landing q and e and a single auto attack isnt a difficult accompishment with items like rylais.

ive played the champion a couple of times, and i think what he needs is a slightly longer window of trading with him withtout proccing his passive.

i mean you could make the same argument for Darius

why does he have to stack up to 5 before he gets to bulldoze through you instead of 3? he has to hit his q and e to guarantee a good trade.

maybe 5 stacks are too much, but 4 would definitely not be too much to ask. maybe reduce the width of his e slightly and he should be fine.

otherwise, ive taken on morde with darius and morde lost in a straight up damage race. the problem isnt his numbers imo. its that combos like item 3116 + item 3152 makes it a bit too easy to set up the hit on his e, and that his passive procs very fast.

That and if item 3742 procs a stack for darkness rise, who knows what else morde can build to get more stacks in a single auto.

Knee Jerk reactions are often wrong because they lack the Perspective and draw conclusion from incomplete information.

Idiots beg for nerfs based off knee jerk reactions.
