The reason why pre-selecting role lowered champion-diversity

Previously you could decide which role and champion you want to play based on the enemy champion picks. If you knew unusual picks that are strong against certain champions you could decide your role on the fly.

I'm for expample a jungle/support main but like to play Galio against Fizz, Brand, Swain or early AP-Nunu against Jax.

With the new system, were many people complain about beeing autofilled anyway this is no longer possible.

Nope. You're just saying that because it's not in line with your post. You're specifically saying that because your post is about people not getting their preferred roles sometimes. You now are attempting to say you favored the system where people got their preferred roles MUCH less often. An absolute contradiction to your entire post.

Gonna stop you there. Generic autofill QQ with a dash of hypocrisy on top

Are you complete retarded? The main argument is that in pick order you could decide which role and champion you want to play based on the enemy champion picks. Please learn to read.
