So we can stop seeing these things down bot lane? AP mage-gone-bot

Raise their mana costs, or nerf their mana pool, and restore a bit more mana per unit killed

This would inhibit them from spamming abilities, forcing them to choose between taking their ally's CS or throwing another pillar of flame. Because it's Way too easy to zone off the enemy carry with an easy-to-land high-damage AOE ability from a safe range. This change will likely invoke more traditional support picks like , whom I don't see nearly as often as their AP carry picks and help make bot lane great again!

that would kill variety, and also keep bot unfun since all you would do is wait for a gank and who ever heals wins

No, it would force AP burst mages to more carefully consider their highly rewarding aggressive playstyle and coordinate better with their ally.

brand cant do much until 3, his mana quite high, malz is new cant say much but wait lv 6 and careful, annie shes low range on q and easily pokeable, lux easily pokeable as well as velcoz

Traditional supports are performing fine, there is statistical evidence of that. It's a good thing that some of the mages show up bot anyways. I don't find any of them particularly oppressive, most of them have a weakness you can exploit well enough. Variety is nice, I would rather not go back to seeing Thresh every single game for the rest of my life.
