The Precision tree is an overlooked reason why ADCs are overbearing

The keystones in the other trees are good, but the individual mysteries in Precision are just so good for offensive champions generally (they are basically the old offensive masteries). However, they are gated for ADCs mostly since Precision gives an attack speed bonus when used as primary.

I mean if you compare the individual mysteries of Domination and Precision it's not hard to see why assassins/fighters are struggling compared to ADCs. It feels MUCH better to use Precision as a primary than Domination - that second tier of masteries in Domination feels practically useless, and the third tier doesn't benefit most champions. Compare Zombie Ward and healing from ability damage to permanent extra attack speed on takedowns and extra damage to low health champion.

There are other reasons why ADCs are so good, such as easy availability of crit, but the main reason they were strong in Season 7 (supportive items being too overbearing) has been removed. So this might explain why they've become even stronger in preseason.

I get tired of hearing how OP ADCs are when its literally like 4 champs. When you arent on one of the big 3/4, you can have a pretty miserable experience on the supposed OP role.

Rlx bro, according to ADC mains you just need to nerf Tanks and Supports and everything will be fine.

Dude, only one of the top three ADCs even uses a Precision keystone. I don't think it Precision.

I disagree with you. Adc by design will always be "overbearing", its point and click damage from long range, ofc its fucking disgusting. But the thing is, or better was, that ADCs were a mid towards late game class. That they need items to do well and perform. Well, their items are and have been cheaper for quite a while now. Which makes ADCs these days are as strong at 20 minutes as ADCs in the past like 2-3 seasons ago were at 30-35 minutes.

What? Precision is a shitty tree. Literally bruisers, who should be taking Precision, are taking every tree that isn't Precision.

PtA is worse than Fervor. LT is worse than PtA unless you can abuse it in lane. Fleet Footwork is worse than Warlord's.

Azeranth1/15/2018, 4:35:28 PM3 votes

It's not though, because precision leaves ADCs weak to their Base fainling points. It's only right that they should have something that enhances what's already strong about them. The real issue is cost of ADC items.

I always at least offspec into Precision on every champ. The runes in that tree are just straight up overpowered.

One day boards will realize that ADC are fine and legit useless without a semi relevant team to peel for them. But ig as long as the 20/0 adc cant be 1v1'd by a 2/1 bruiser theyre op.

They were overbearing before the precision tree

Dingding1231/16/2018, 7:28:23 AM2 votes

Oh, you know, just repeatable on-hit damage and unconditional damage amplification. No cooldown.

Or how about going beyond the attack speed limit? And an additional 50+% AS? Huh? No, why wouldn't it proc off of abilities? Or any source of damage for that matter?

Or you could just gain massive MS anytime you hit something with an autoattack...wait what's that, something about melees? No, why should their autoattacks be any different?

Z3Sleeper1/15/2018, 7:19:26 PM2 votes

I disagree. Fervor of Battle and Warlord's Bloodlust completely outclass PtA and Fleet Footwork (not even close to the same level of power). They are most definitely not the reason.

ADC has PtA... refuses to buy armor pen because they have, and I quote, "built in armor pen with keystone, don't need armor pen"... is doing less damage to tanks than our tank...

Yeah, totally the Precision tree that's the issue.

Meep Man1/17/2018, 11:26:50 PM1 votes

They are actually having to nerf Zombie Wards cause it's too good.

Elkington VI1/17/2018, 12:59:55 AM1 votes

Precision is one of the best trees period, especially for sustained damage dealers. It has nearly all of the percent based scaling, so even as a secondary it's the best on most champs.
