Riot, will you ever directly buff off-meta picks?

We all know the rise and fall of Ezreal jungle, which went from off-meta to meta to best pick; then shot down with nerfs.

Then we know accidentally buffing off-meta, like how they did a slight buff back to the power of AP Kai'sa or increasing the AP scaling of Vi's E?

But will Riot ever possibly look at a never picked way to play a champion and directly buff them? For example, buffing AP Tristana or giving Morgana an attack speed buff?

Has this ever happened? Just them making room for another way to play a champion?

Not anymore, they used to, then people complained about champions being able to do everything without fail.

They did this with Shyvana she used to have an ap ratio on her W but they redistributed the power to her E ratio instead.

V8.9 Burnout.png Burnout Removed: Damage per second scaling with 10% AP. Removed: On-hit damage scaling with 2.5% AP. Flame Breath.png Flame Breath Fireball AP ratio increased to 70% AP from 30% AP. Dragon's Descent.png Dragon's Descent AP ratio increased to 100% AP from 70% AP.

They don't often do it often but they don't want to neuter some style like they slightly reverted ADC neeko

The boring part is that Off-Meta always feel like AD champs and tanks having AP ratios, or tanks/bruisers having high AD ratios, I'd love for an AP champ to get some AD ratio but they'd abuse gunblade probably... I just love my off-meta stuff and want more.

100% agreed. I think the only "AP Champion" who isn't mixed damage with an AD ratio at the moment is Thresh. Not counting auto attack enhance abilities which change the damage to magic damage like Sylas and Galio.

What is this word..."buff" Riot only knowns nerf and op

I want TF's E attack speed to be buffed to 30/35/40/45/50%. I used to play on-hit TF quite a bit, but the game is so much more about burst now that on-hit TF rarely gets to do his thing. I also don't think buffing the attack speed on his E would do anything really for his full AP self, since he generally only charges up his E and then goes in on someone with gold card. It might slightly help his farming a bit, but if it helps too much they could always bring it down to 10/20/30/40/50% instead. AP TF levels E last, so it'd still be 10% by the time he got items.

MF used to have enough AP damage on her ult to justify void staff, they changed her.
