Morde 55% wr on day 1 in diamond +

Anime Fizz··7 votes·1,196 views

18% pick rate, 70% ban rate.

Thanks riot, we totally needed another completely overpowered and unbalanceable rework.

Also cant wait for boards to come here and tell me how he isnt completely overpowered because of some random bs, like the "oh just buy qss, it will stop him from killing your whole team while sustaining himself", oh wait... Morde is one of their favorites.

2 things:

  • He's not very hard to play.
  • It takes a while to learn how to play around his R.

Result: high winrate on release.

Unbalanced isn't the same thing as unbalanceable. Day one win rate might just mean the former, fixed after a simple balance pass.

Also there are a lot of players that dont know how he works and so feed into him.

Once the player base learns him we will see it even out.

I mean, if they have to hotfix him, the simple thing is hitting the aura passive. Its the thing i've heard people complain about the most.

Ya because it gives him bonus movement speed you cant get away from it.

He is an immobile Melee champion with long cast times. The only thing that would even make him marginally hard to balance is manaless waveclear. He is exclusively a numbers problem.

Ya he is my new Top and mid and Jungle and Support and ADC

There is a few things I think they should tone down on. His passive is a little too strong on the damage department, it makes any melee top laner have a bad day, toning down the damage would help a bit. His W can be the T H I C C est shield in existence, we should probably tone it down a bit, even I was shocked, but the heal is fine from my perspective. His q should be instead of a 40% damage increase (on a single enemy), it should be around 35% or less. Finally, a reminder that Morde just got released on the servers, its going to take some time for people to get used to fighting him. Grievous wounds can help reduce his healing from his w, and if he ults you, unless if your fed, stay away from him as much as possible, he has very strong on a 1v1, therefore, keep an eye on his e. Oh and i am going to be maining the guy too completely.

The whole "but ppl are getting used to playing vs him" argument doesnt exist because so does the fact that literally everyone is first timing him at the same time (the fact he reach 55% already with that alone is completely absurd), reworks win rate actually RISE over the time because ppl learning how to play the champ has more weight than ppl learning how to play against it, if morde is to be untouched he would probably hit 60% wr or more.

Personally I would rather that they increase the space of the Death Realm so that the one that gets caught can have a better time dodging all the AOE damage that he has. As of right now, it feels like his passive alone covers almost half the realm and makes mobile (and immobile) have almost no chance of surviving the ult.

I survived his ult as evelynn... EVELYNN

Morde basically ignored by Riot for 8 seasons, all of a sudden he's "one of their favorites". Give me a break.

He's a bit overtuned right now, but they will have that fixed in a patch or two. Unlike some of the new champs and reworks that were literally broken OP for 6 months or more.

Hes a juggernaut, and a simple one. Far easier to pick up and play than to play against. His winrate will drop once people stop being stupid against him and realize you can QSS his ult.

The boards are a meme when it comes to balance, stop posting about LITERAL DAY 1 BALANCE.

its day one so these mean literally nothing.

hes new so of course p/b rate is high, everyone wants to try him or not play against him. people need time to figure him out so of course his WR is a little inflated. same thing happens with any other new champion.

Think about this out of 10 games morde is available 3 times then he has 18% pick rate so 0.54 games then he has a 55% win rate so of the 0.54 games he wins half of them doesnt seem that op and he has trouble with gp,neeko, zoe and possibly ahri depending on the player. ill admit his passive ap ratio probs need to be tuned down abit but other than that he is quite balanced imo
