Can something please be done to fix Diamond V

Yenn··1 votes·587 views

Virtually every game I had climbing from Gold III to Diamond V was significantly higher quality than every single game I currently have at Diamond V. I'm even encountering leavers on one team or the other in 15-20% of my games.

I can't even play Udyr anymore, because my teams are consistently too bad to use the early game advantage I give them, or won't let me split push. These are problems that I rarely encountered with Gold and Platinum players, and it's kind of ridiculous.

Or you could stop playing bad champions and blaming your teammates

Stop playing support. Play annie mid and master the basics. If you have to play support play soraka malphite karma

-> malphite -> karma -> support

maybe you shouldn't be giving advice about support

I mean karma is a legitimate support IMO and malphite is more off meta, but what would you recommend?

Karma is a legitimate support, she's just a legitimately bad one. The champions you've been playing (Lulu/Nami) are great, especially for low elo soloQ.

well I'm bombing at both, so I'm prolly just not good anyway

Malphite is great for low elo? only a straight moron would tell you its not good for learning or in general.

ill probably stick to annie then

sucks cause I never know how to gank properly and help others and whatnot. plus my mechanical skill isn't the best.

Making it easier to demote out of d5 should fix it.

I'm not sure theres really much that can be done.

As you're probably aware, you're not matched based on being D5, but rather based on your mmr, so people ceasing to try as hard at <whatever> 5 is kinda already dealt with (those who get D5 and just start screwing around will soon have mid-high plat mmr and be so matched for example).

Of course between boosting and people ceasing to care, theres probably more people who peak at D5/D4 mmr and then are going through the falling to plat mmr process compared to middle divisions (theres probably similar at silver 5/gold 5/plat 5, but diamond skill players may not notice it since they can still hard carry) which is maybe problematic, but I don't see how they could do anything about it without really messing up matchmaking.
