As a Vel'Koz main, I think the ability I would miss the least would be his W. Yeah, it's still an integral part of his kit and is very useful, but I don't think I could go without the poke from his Q and the CC from his E.
What about you guys? What's your favorite champion and which ability of theirs would it be least difficult to live without?

W. This is the one skill that just feels out of place in his kit. Its main purpose, stalling in teamfights is near useless due to being interruptable, so most people use it for an autoattack reset or just general sustain which later on is outclassed by lifesteal. If anything, just a tweak to make it a true AA reset would be nice (so you don't have to manually meditate cancel), or make it so that self-cancelling (doesn't apply for enemies interrupting) meditate within 0.75 seconds refunds 70% of the cooldown so that skilled Yi players can use it as an AA reset without the penalty of a 28 second CD. It shouldn't change his power too much because late game, AA resetting actually lowers dps because of how fast Yi's attack speed is at that point.

Basically this ability can easily be fulfilled by other abilities.
The only advantage of using this ability is low CD instant Q passive application
As long as a new ability will be instant as well nothing really changes in his kit

Revert W and R and I would play him again. Revert Q, W, and R and I would main him again. Revert Q, W, E, and R and give him a different passive and I would one trick him.

Make it a roll/dash like in the Ryze cinematic. and since it’s 2018 for a short period of time after her roll she can use walls as cover from projectiles. /s

Half of the player base never pick up that ability until Q and W are maxed out.
