Can we just revert Taliyah's AoE/Wave clear potential and nerf her roaming potential?

To date, I still can't get used to the fact that Q only hits one target per stone shard.
The fluidity of Q is just so bad and it makes no sense that it only hits one person. Like going by thematic design, a thrown stone breaks in to stone shards and hits the people around the splash area.
Instead the changes have caused Taliyah to become a jungler then some of us prefer playing her as waveclear mid laner and a teamfighting mage. I completely dislike the fact that Taliyah is now commonly played as a jungler just because those changes seem to benefit her that way better, it paved way for a role that was unnecessary. And now we'll probably have players saying that Taliyah Jungle is healthy and thus deserves to exist.
Why is it so bad to just gut Taliyah's potential and make her a mage that's a bit more wave clear and teamfight/kite based. It's like roaming has to exist in the kit. The passive could have been nerfed more and her ult made 5 seconds and it would still make her good.
doesn't have a move speed passive and he still roams pretty well using his ult so why not? Either way, Taliyah has been nerfed a lot lately, both directly and indirectly.
