Could tencent be related to all of this stuff in S6?

i don't know of any logical evidence to back it up at all. But things all went downhill when Tencent purchased Riot.... Dunno could just be me.

Riot seemed to be pretty reasonable with changes up till now, then a massive change to making the game wretchedly fast paced, and immediate reward heavy. (Same principle behind phone games)

No, they aren't. Tencent does next to nothing in concern to the game, because they know that Riot can manage it better then they ever could.

A while ago, Chinese companies tried to start up business in the west, but they failed because they didn't understand the western business culture. So they decided to just buy into already established companies and let them run

Well you're wrong actually. Whereas there are some companies that exist in that state, there are too many that have changed heavily or have failed do to the instructions from their new corporate business lords. The way league is shifting would seem to support this claim heavily. (The chests would also be good evidence of this.)

And how is riot giving you things previously only available for money for free a bad change?
