you retconned the summoner lore.

it would only make sense to retcon lee sin since he was a summoner himself.

also come on he's really fucking annoying to play against.

I love Lee Sin too. He's a great champ. (And actually quite balanced.)

maybe in the late game. in the early game he's fucking ridiculous. especially in this burst meta we're sitting in. just makes it easier with his execute to get kills early.

oh yeah and then there's the "did i just fuck up and jump into a bad fight? LOL NOPE WARD OVER WALL BYE"

i mean, fuck you think it'd make more sense for sion to knock people back farther than some skinny blind guy kicking you. you know rather than being an unstoppable force that smashes into someone at full speed to... knock them up and stund them?

k riot.

doesn't make his kit any less unhealthy. he has a high skill cap, and can't be used effectively by silvers or bronzes most of the time. and guess what, 70% of the playerbase is silver/ bronze.

he can seriously do everything. he can chunk people early, and then by going tanky can just become a support with an execute. his clear is easy, he can clear dragon solo at level 4(albeit that takes a lot of skill and know-how), he's very strong at ganking, counter-jungling, tanking, assassinating, AND has a stealth reveal LOL. he's got 7 abilities. you know who's also got 7 abilities that have been repeatedly hit with the nerf stick for being "too strong" unlike lee who is 100 times more annoying? Nidalee Evelynn Jayce Gnar

If Lee is so strong why aren't you abusing him to climb instead of complaining here? He is totally balanced and his full potential is extremely hard to unlock. His early might be strong but his win rate is still extremely low cause he is team reliant.

lee is stong. you can solo dragon with just a machetee at lv8. And still have over half hp.

His clear in the jungle is to strong. His late game engages can win fights similar to a blitz hook. Yes, he has a high skill cap. But its one of the most frustrating heroes in league... he just has to many things and that's frustrating (not op, not up, annoying as fuck)

I'm a jungle main and what if I tell you that almost every viable jungler can solo dragon at lvl8 with just a machete? His clear is too strong? It might be strong but overall there are much better farming junglers and he is supposed to be strong early...

If you are strong early, that's ok. But then you should be weak late. Does it make sense?

Lee has the mobility and engage ability which makes him a monster even in late game. As I said, his R properly executed will win you the game. And that's not something an early game character should be able to do. Its hard to execute especially under pressure and when enemy can react to it? sure it is, Lee has a high skill cap. But he can do it, and if you are good, you can do it consistently.

Ofc, you require a team that is able to follow up. And if they can't, you might lose the game.

So, the final point. If Lee is allowed to be strong in early game. He needs a rework on his ultimate so that its not a bullshit win ability in late game.

Shako is a perfect example of a strong early hero that is weak in late game. Lee is strong early, good in late.

ps: the thing about macheete was simply to point out that he doesn't need any items baring the 300g item he gets in the first second of the game to do his jungle and secure dragons. That means he can focus on building either utility for his team or damage for combat vs enemy champions.

While for example, mages on mid lane have to get Mana Regen to have enough mana to spam abilities and be able to wave clear when your turrets start to be sieged by the enemy.

Yeah Lee is dumb... but I hate Tahm more tbh, Tahm is strong all stages of the game and never seems to get weaker.

Lee Sin is another assassin who doesn't follow the general guidelines of what assassins are, "high risk, high reward". Lee Sin can build mostly tanky and still have the damage to blow people up, but the worse part of it is that his kit has so much safety that any mistakes he made are easily reversed. You don't even have to be remotely good at Lee and you can still do alright simply because the champion has so much in their kit.

He probably just hasn't been reworked because he's interesting to watch in pro play by a majority of the players, while the rest understand that what Lee is doing isn't really that hard and most of the "plays" he is making is mostly due to his unbalanced state.

I agree that the only balanced part of his kit is his late game. I don't understand why people say Lee is "useless" late game though, I forgot being able to 100-0 an ADC with a tanky build is just "useless".

No, the will buff him again coz he' never allowed to not shine and not be an oppresive turd of a champ, what the heck a blind man needs with all that stagelight is beyond me.

Why a champ with that much mobility also needs to be able to say up yours every single time you manage to get on top of him is also beyond me.

How is free elo for you annoying to play against? I personally love playing against Lee because beating him is so fucking easy. It's unreal how much you guys complain about a decidedly mediocre champion.

jdizzle3675 votes

You don't play against lee sin, lee sin plays against you. When Lee sin is in the game the enemy team is non sequitur no matter how well they play Lee sin, with his nice bundle of stats, mobility, and utility, doesn't have the same traditional limits that other champions have. His damage is at the upper end of the spectrum for traditional fighters, same for his utility, his mobility is unmatched by any other champion so you can't run away or chase him. Lee sin dictates every fight he is in a good Lee Sin can't die because the second the fight starts going south he is already halfway across the map.

Slamurai Jack2 votes

Believe me, the Lee Sins you're seeing in your high bronze and low silver games aren't doing that. Where are these mythical Lee's that are dominating everyone? I don't see them. Most of the Lees I see are complete shitters and the good ones I do see are outclassed by actual top tier junglers.

But hey, let's look at some stats to back up your claims. Lee Sin's damage is at the upper end of the spectrum? That must be why he's 39th of 46 junglers for damage dealt. Lee Sin is impossible to kill? That must be why he's 33rd of 46 junglers in deaths per game. Lee Sin makes the enemy irrelevant? That's why he has a >50% winrate against 7 junglers and <50% winrate against 39 of them. Taking all of those facts into account, it's almost like you have no idea what you're talking about. Let me guess, you've never played him before, even in a normal game?

jdizzle3672 votes

You are cherry picking data to back up your claim. I specifically said upper end of the spectrum for traditional fighters not junglers which include hard assassins, mages, marksmen who by nature of their class are going to out damage a fighter. The damage dealt stat in and of itself is a bit of a red herring for measuring actual damage output because it tends to favor AOE oriented damage of which Lee Sin only has a small amount, or champions that tend to power farm as damage dealt counts damage to minions and monsters something which is unusual for a lee sin to do. His base damage and damage scaling are comparatively very high combined with a percent health scaling. Lee sin has a high mastery curve as indicated by the delta between his win rate and games played so newer Lee Sins are going to skew every stat down. Win rate is not a good tool for measuring strength for multiple reasons. Not going to glorify the ad hominen with a response.

It's a shame that Lee Sin has one of the most experienced playerbases of all junglers and yet his winrate still sucks and that the most experienced Lee players (125+ games) still win significantly less than similarly experienced players of almost every other jungler. It's almost like he's bad and you're just biased.

I don't even see lee sin being played in diamond to its fullest, with that being said if you ever struggle against a champion , just try him out in normals or custom matches and you can see his weaknesses.

I don't enjoy playing against good Lee Sins, but I always take heart in knowing Lee falls of miserably post 30 minutes, I have rarely ever seen Lee carry a game if it makes it past 25-30 minutes. Then again most games are over in under 30 minutes these days so he is shining brightly recently.

facemelter7101 votes

2 years ago I would have agreed. Now though I love playing against Lee. I don't play him myself. But you do feel accomplished when you take down that ever so slippery enemy Lee sin. He isn't op he isn't weak. He is a fun champ and is pretty balanced compared to lots of other op zed or useless aatrox champs.
