yep, pretty much. The way soloque works is you play your hardest, and your score is compared with your teammates' and enemies'. Sometimes you don't win, but if you're preforming your hardest, that's all you can do. I've adapted the 40/40/20 attitude towards soloque. 40% of games you get carried by your team, 40% you loose because of your team, and 20% of games are directly on you to carry. I've found myself really a lot less frustrated at soloque since i started thinking less along the lines of 'I need to win this game no matter what' and more along the lines of 'okay, so here's what I can do in this situation, lets make the most of it'.
I can dish out 45k damage on amumu (who i've been maining) and land all the 4 man ults in the game, but hey if i don't have the help from the rest of my team, I'll just mark it down as a loss on them, not on me. I know that I can lock the enemy team down and do fantastic aoe damage in teamfights. I provide the situations in which we win teamfights and from there, it's all on the teammates. I've done everything I can to enable them in the fight. From there the lp loss is less about me so much as my allies. Will they let me carry them, or will they choose to loose?
Either way, I know that I'm climbing with my current playstyle, and hey, if i loose a few games, it doesn't matter, you can't carry them all, nobody else matters but me and my proformence. As long as I'm the MVP in every lost game with most gold and most damage dealt(with a tank build), I know with 100% certainty that I did everything i could in my situation and it proved to be too much. And as soon as I start stalling out and not preforming, well, that's on me, and I don't deserve to climb until I get better at the game.
