Why do you need to carry to really climb in elo?
There seems to be only one way of making sure you win games right now, it's snowballing af and winning the games single handedly. There simply does not seem to be any other way.
You can't just play your lane and end up 0/0/0 because top lane 15/0 yasuo or mid lane 392/0 zed will come to destroy you and unless you have some kind of late game counter team comp, you're simply fukced.
My god how are you even gowing to climb elo as support? It just seems so futile.
At this point I've got the feeling that climbing from G5 to G3 isn't even climbing, but just more players joining ranks while the season progresses and you just going up a bit because of the inflation of the ranked population. Funny thing is last season I had about 3K games and ended around 50% winrate, yet I went from bronze 1 to gold 3. How is that possible. it feels like an illusion somehow. Yes if I play a game in bronze right now I will completely destroy it and carry the game, but that seems to be the only way to win. Carry or go home.
I want to learn to be a better league player, but every 2 or 3 weeks the game gets flipped upside down. All of the sudden a champion or a role that used to be weak versus your main can now completely obliterate you. So just when you thought you learned something new, you get smacked in the face. Why do they keep changing it? I think they do it to keep being able to have an unbalanced game people are still willing to play, because maybe next patch the game will be cool again.. How long have you been waiting for the game to be cool again? I have been waiting this whole season to be honest.
You don't see this in sports do you? if Riot was the worlds leading icehockey organisation they would change it to be played in grass, because well playing on ice got boring and they'd change baseballs into boomerangs .
What's the use of a mid-season mage boost which ends up having a zed at a 90%+ banrate? IT'S A MAGE UPDATE RIOT!
I think that for Riot there is harmony in constant chaos, because every time people complain they can point to the next solution(patch).
