I think I've figured out one of Leagues biggest problems!
Every time they create a new champion or rework a old one. The power budget they have to spend on the champions kit is increased. Its like the first every champions had a power budget of like 100 that they could spend on all 4 abilities and passive. But its going up by like 20 every new champion. Then riot wonders why example: Akali is so oppressive. She literally has almost every mechanic in the game. CC, Mobility, Stealth, Burst, Healing... i could go on, where as a champion like idk Ziggs has a few things tto work with. When ur doing a matchup between these two champions its all about trading out abilities to win. ziggs has one cc which is also his mobility once he uses that he is vulnerable. Akali has literally 5 different tools to bait out his w and then absolutely style on him. Each new champion is being designed to style on old champions. I mean look at Pyke and then compare him to blitzcrank. He has a better hook, costs less mana and can actually be charged and held to zone . He has a stealth/speed up with his w which is literally just a better blitz W. Blitz actually slows himself after his speed up. Pyke he gets movement speed and stealth. And then blitz e is a knock up that it. Pyke's is a REALLY long dash with a stun attached to it on a short cooldown. And then blitz passive is this like shitty shield u get once every 60 seconds but that doesnt compare to the pyke healing passive that has no cooldown. I dont even need to compare the ults Pyke's is clearly better.
Like... this is the problem with league every new champ/rework is being given a bigger power budget which is causing alot of problems with the game. We still have these super weak immobile mages that their only compensation for not having mobility is having a cc which is like the reverse form of mobility, anti mobility. Thing is... its countered by all the Tenacity that is shoved into the game in items and runes... which leaves immobile mages utterly defenseless vs these overloaded kits. What's the item that counters mobility? What counters stealth anymore? Nothing... Like, Mages, ADCS both have to be able to one shot their targets to even stand a chance anymore. Bruisers have to be OVERSTAT as hell to stand a chance which leads to more buffs to adcs and mages to deal with them and its a never ending cycle. Nobody likes tanks so they've been shoved out of the game because they do TOO much damage when they are supposed to be unkillable and disruptive. Now im just getting into more issues but they all really do lead back to one thing. Riot needs to stop trying to one up every new champion/rework and get back to basic, traditional kits even if they are just repeats of old abilities.
