Mages are getting Pushed out of the game

I'm noticing a pattern as of late. Riots trying so hard to push Mages out of the game completely. All the things they excel at have been gutted and those things werent oppressive by any means in fact it felt like i was getting by before. Now Riots just completely forcing them out of the game in favor of assassins (which lets be honest, Assassins have never been healthy for the game and are not fun aspects of the game.) I really dont understand Riot and their logic behind all this... but its extremely frustrating and I think has pushed me enough off the edge to finally quit this dying game. Riot... you're ruining your game... and you aren't listening to your playerbase at all. ... Stop it... get some help.

you have no factual data to back up your claim. Mages are in no way getting pushed out of the game. I still play mages, though I usually play them as support for the luls

1 Riot is trying to make is to mages arent the only viable midlane class in competitive play. 2. Mages have literally never been pushed out of the game by any change and in fact became more dominant over time. Riot is not balancing strictly for solo queue and even there mages are fine and definitely being played. Opinions are not going to influence anyone who doesnt already agree with you so if you are going to say X is unhealthy no matter what then no one is going to try to debate with you but don't expect that to change anyones mind.

The playerbase isnt gameplay boards btw.

riot has turned league not into a strategic/knowledge/skill game it once was, but a pick an ADC that builds AP items alongside a shield support and stealth assassin game that any old twat can play. why even bother play mana mages (who happen to be the most well designed champs) when you can just pick vlad/zed/yasuo/kat?

we need a new balance team who are passionate about the game and knows the sense of frustration some champs bring into the game instead of buffing them and nerfing everything else.

You mean well designed mages like ryze, azir, cassiopeia? Or more like anivia? Don't get me wrong i want old league as much back as others but holy hell mana mages are not among the most well designed champs. Truth is that every class has shitty designs some more some less.

ori/ahri/TF/taliyah/lux/viktor/ and stuff like this. not DPS midlaners that just DPS you down twice as fast as an ADC like azir/ryze/cass. season 4 azir is half as disgusting as twitch though, only thing azir is missing is stealth. i HATE DPS midlaners but nowhere near as much as vlad, this champ is completely rotten.

mana mages require a decent player to at least stay even in lane. its easy just getting fed with 1 item powerspike DPS champs, stealth shit, or manaless champs. not only is it easy, but they outscale everything else -_-

Orianna, Ahri, Lux, and Viktor are all in a good spot right now.

Also, mages spike far harder with one item than DPS champs. Their Lost Chapter spike (Which is just one component) is comparable to an ADC's 1-item spike.

Yea I do feel mages have the worst choices for runes. The minor runes are shit, often supporting mobile melee champions or auto attack champions. Major keystones are also lack luster.

Yeah, totally. Making them able to take turrets down faster and apply magic penetration to them is the proof of it. AD assassins are overpowered right now, but that doesn't mean mages suck. It's just that not everyone can use Comet properly and Aery is always gonna be either OP on supports or Meh on whoever doesn't have a shield. I don't think they wanna push mages away, even though the mana changes they did totally suck.
