Honestly...what's changed? He plays the same to me, except now I am a little less willing to hand out blue buffs and I am super greedy about scuttle/drag stealing.

stacks are awarded on takedowns, not just kills, which means leashing a buff for an ally will still net you a stack. If a Devourer jungler tells you they can't give you a buff because they need Devourer stacks, tell them that.

and you see people saying "omfg, yi killing tank ins 5 seconds" , what are they thinking? yi is a bruiser? no he is a mele carry and it's his job to do massive damage. you just don't duel him with any tanks you take him down like a team while protecting your carries and not getting outplayed by his Q.
Beerstein3 votesHonestly I can't see any impactful difference either. He still plays the same early game, get fed before the stacks or else. Late game he also plays the same, loses to the same things he lost to before and wins against the same things he beat before. He still has that same niche as a champion that you want to try to pull a solo split push win with when your team just isn't getting the job done.
I was unimpressed with Yi, love Lee Xins heal though, he can literally stay in the JG til he has 1,850 gold. Plus since everyone bans yi this works out well.

Too bad he can juke the Lux bind with his Q. Seriously, as long as you're not level 5 bad, he's extremely OP.
Back last week or so before Sated Devourer was added, Yi was squishy as heck at least. He could be bursted pretty easy, even with Blood Thirster. But now he heals for double and deals double damage of what he would before every hit. And he can just eliminate tanks so damn easily its just not funny, even when you're playing him.
First day Sated came out, I played Yi. I felt bad for playing him. Next day, played Jax. Same thing, felt extremely bad. After that I just haven't played anyone with Sated because its just plain mean. Its literally freelo. I've never called anything freelo, but this... thing... is.

That isn't skill, its common knowledge. If somebody doesn't know how to juke with Yi Q then he must be Bronze 1.
And his gap closer is on a tiny cooldown plus the passive to make it even shorter.

yi needs to attack 10 time to have the cooldown refreshed, it's obvious that he will die before trying to reach his target. and i will tell you, in diamond i faced many players that didn't juke anything with yi's Q because they either can't time it correctly or they USE IT to close the gap. people just act like "oh lol, this champion can be invunerable he can't be cc'ed"
