The both games may have their own issues, but as long as the core gameplay is present, people will play them. And also both games will remain good as long as they don't resemble each other in terms of playstyle. That's it, simple.
Arcane Azmadi3 votesExcept Dota 2 has a system in place where, if a players leaves the game for more than 5 minutes, any member of their team can just leave without penalty and the loss won't be counted against them. And if it happens in the first 5 minutes of the game, the game is cancelled and no-one loses.
LoL could have a similar system, but Riot prefer to simply let thousands of players get fucked over every day by DCs because they don't give a shit about us.

What i dont understand is everyone making this into a big peen contest over each game, you mention Dota once to a Leaguer and they flip a new script entirely. Dota 2 just kinda shrug it off. Granted each community is different with League catering more so to a younger crowd. Its just how it is.
CrimsonCobra31 votesI like Smite better than League, but no-one I know plays it so it isn't worth it. Smite actually came out with a recent change to Joust that I absolutely love. (Joust is my favorite Smite map.)
