It might be rude, but it's also accurate.

The most amusing part is that Akali is in his name. Lmfao, such hypocrisy.

Roll face on keyboard, poke from out of opponent's range, stun 2+ people every fight, yup, really hard.

"But she is too squishy to be viable."

Yeah because people don't complain about this already right? Champions, supports especially being really tanky and having shit tons of utility, or are we going to act like the whole Sona being pick/ban and outdamaging and tanking the ADC in the laning phase wasn't a thing?

A solid post-6 support Taric has the damage potential to 1v1 adcs, and eventually 3 v 1 in late game. Sona could barely ever 2 v 1 if fed that hard, and that's while being squishier than Taric.

And lacking a point and click stun, aka pre-6 hard CC.

"But guys she can't 100-0 people with Q-powerchord, she can only 100-50 now so she totally needs buffs!" - Delusional Sona mains.

Well with all the dive happy supports like Nautilus and Thresh. It is indeed hard to use her at the moment. Not because Sona is difficult to use, but because all the matchups she is really bad against are all over the place right now.

So then we should wait until the meta she is weak against rotates out, not buff her and make her pick/ban...again.

We should just delete her tbh

No, but I still want people to remember when she was pick/ban and why she was, when the time where tanky aggressive supports rotates out for whatever reason, whether it be a new item, or champion or team comp that causes it, she will come back...again...ugh.

Fun fact when Thresh was the king of support, IE when he came out and for several months afterwards, Sona was one of the better supports to take against him. Back then it was a skill match-up. If Sona poked without getting hooked they won, kinda like blitz, and then Sona got nerfed, and then she got nerfed again, and again, and again, and then out right thrown in the trash with what they called a rework. It wasn't meta changes that made Sona fall out of favor it was straight up nerfs.

This fantasy of the Sona that couldn't stand up to the Thresh/Blitz/Naut/etc because of the meta is a dillusion you are making up, I'm gonna say in ignorance based on the discussion I had with you in my thread, and not a reality of what actually happened to her.

She lost damage, as she should have, she was far too much of a threat from a long range and needed the damage nerfs. Besides that, her match ups are still the same, now she just does reasonable damage, she pokes from out of range and doge hooks, she wins because she can poke from out of range.

"Pokes from out of range" because a 550 AA range is so significant considering that only gives her an edge over Graves/Sivir/Kog(without W)/Lucien for ADCs and then the tanks, mean while Lulu matches her, Morgana will just go for a bind and Annie out ranges her AAs.

Now for spells her Q is 750 casting range qhich equates to 650 AA range. Fun fact though the Q has never been what gave her strong poke. Sure it did ok damage, in the past I would say strong damage, but never anything near what you are trying to say it did. Her poke strength has always been her power chord Q.

Also even if we go with her Q range she is still vulnerable to pretty much every other supports harass or all in combo at that point meaning anytime Sona attempts to harass she puts herself at risk and always has. She wasn't some nid who threw a Q from across the lane and dealt half your HP and healed up any miracle damage you happened to do with 1 spell. Was her poke strong before? Yeah. Was it to strong? Not even close.

Nami's AA range is 550 as well, Morgana's is 450, so once again, let's be situational for some champions and not others to try and push your point across.

Try 850, which is well out the range of every ADC in the game

Which should have a downside when she is able to poke so far away from all the threats. But you are right, she should be able to poke well out of the range of the cast, then safely go in for even more damage without having to worry about downsides at all.

Also even if we go with her Q range she is still vulnerable to pretty much every other supports harass or all in combo at that point meaning anytime Sona attempts to harass she puts herself at risk and always has. The only skills she has to worry about when she goes into Q, is skillshots, every single other one, she heavily outranges. She outranges Annie's whole kit and all the skillshots she should worry about, she should dodge, champions shouldn't be able to take a skillshot and get held down and survive easily anyway.

Sona's Q is 700 range. Just some quick fact-correcting.

She's not bad, it's just that her counters are the most popular supports.

If anything, she could use a few changes. Make her more interactive, more fun and more dangerous to play with or against.

Eh, she's not unviable or weak, but I don't like her current kit. I love her theme and types of abilities (some damage, healing, and buffing), but the way the current kit has them be used doesn't do it for me.

If someday possible, I'd like to see someone else (sorry Fearless, nothing personal) rework her one more time; after higher priority champions first, of course. Raise her skillfloor and the way her abilities work (her Q especially), and re-make her into the 'bard' type support again.

Sona/Nami main. She's fine. I like her now.
