Wards are just an excuse to justify not nerfing broken champs

And a pretty bad one at that (even back when it was relevant in previous seasons before the vision system got changed).

Can you give any examples? I don't see anyone justifying a strong champion by saying that wards exist. I see people saying that you can ward as counterplay to strong junglers, but not that its justification to leave them overpowered.

If you mean camouflage, wards are a pretty good answer. Control wards reveal them and can really restrict which ways they can and can't come from. Even then, people aren't justifying their strength with the existence of control wards, they're saying to use them to help yourself against them.

If you mean true invisibility (stealth? Not sure what the Riot term is for it) then wards are irrelevant anyway if they're close enough to hit you, but wards still do help you by giving you an idea of the area they're in.

Where do people defend stealth champions by saying wards exist? Plenty of people say that there is counterplay to stealth, but not people saying that its okay to be OP because wards exist. See the Evelynn hate train for proof of that.
