Even though I know the reason for the nerf I can admit it was wrong to nerf viktor without a compensation buff so I have an idea:

Buff viktor so his Q does an AoE around the primary target of the AA(2ND Part), like gragas' buff.

That would fix his issue of being overnerfed on his laser and make him more interactive in waveclearing since he would have to go in range to AA.

Would reasonably buff viktor in a way that doesn't simply increase his damage and fixes the issue of being overnerfed laser-wise.

It could work as a skill-augment you purchase when upgrading your core. Would be a tad bit too much if just added to the base Q because would make Viktor clear insanely well since Q's second damage scales with Viktor's level. however, upgraded Q with AoE seems nice, since the movespeed doesn't feel as strong as the other two options... and IMHO it isn't, given the nature of Viktor's gameplay and his overall identity as a mid range bursty mage.

Their issue wasn't so much vik's wave clear but it was that vik's waveclear was too noninteractive due to fire and forget. So they should be fine if he has to go into AA range to use the buff.

I do see your point though but I do feel they'd be fine with such a buff on the base ability.
