Some masteries need to be more appealing

  1. Fury- Raise to 5% AS Reason: CDR mastery

  2. Sorcery- Increase by 0.5% Reason: CDR mastery.

  3. Would love the return of the 5% CDR mastery....

  4. Make a new mastery which adds 5% AP as magic damage to AAs Reason: This mastery was a really fun one to have on several AP champs and would be great if re-added

  5. Meditation- Raise to 2% Reason: It feels pretty underwhelming to put a full 5 points into just 1.5% missing mana regen

  6. Make a new mastery, maybe between explorer and tough skin, where monster/minion damage taken deals 1% of their current health as damage(to a cap which raises by level) with another bonus effect maybe Reason: Having this as third mastery option could be fun. Thank you for greenfather's gift!!!

  7. Make a new mastery which increases trinket and warding range by 3/6/9/12/15% and grants 4/8/12/16/20 EXP when near a champion higher level than you.(Or just add this to sightstone) Reason: Honestly after talking with someone else this could just be an addition to sightstone, the point where supports do fall off in levels due to warding. Adding this to sightstone would really be a good boost.

  8. New resolve mastery: reduces damage taken, while under crowd control, by 5/7.5/10/12.5/15%. Thank you for Fearless!!!

  9. Add more than 2 choices per tier Reason:Diversity, you don't have to rush though just continue slowly adding more options to masteries. I thank you for doing this more and more!!!

  10. Feast should additionally grant 5 mana. Reason:The mana on kill was a good benefit to mages and mana laners in general, 5-10 mana per kill every 25 seconds wouldn't be minor and not brokenly impactful but players would feel that benefit a lot

  11. Swap Expose Weakness and Assassinate masteries. Reason: This is mostly due to expose weakness being more "Cunning(utility+offense)" than just pure attack like Assassinate which should be in the ferocity(offense) tree. Comparing assassinate to double-edge it's basically the same except assassinate's downside is you can't be near your team for it. While expose weakness is more of you should use your cunning to help your teammates take advantage.(Jesus this reason went long...) Also with first blood taking double edge's place swapping expose weakness feels even better imo.

  12. Change bounty hunter so you can kill each champ up to 2 times individually instead of 1 to a cap of 8%, however oppressor should be buffed to 4% Reason: This change is mostly to make the bounty hunter mastery feel better to get without completely outweighing oppressor in that manner, You must work for bounty hunter to get it's full potential or safely get oppressor. Thank you for buffing bounty hunter!!!

  13. Raise legendary guardian by 1 Armor+MR at max rank. Reason: Even on all-in/do or die champs who don't care if cc'd or not when their job is done, it feels like you'd still constantly want swiftness vs the tankier legendary guardian Thank you for the new resolve tree!!!

That's all post what you think in the comments below

I have thought, " I would buff more masteries, sometimes both in a tier to make the choices feel more distinguished."

And then I realized making every choice distinguished would make very powerful mastery trees overall.

You propose to buff some good masteries in ways I think not needed but overall not bad.

In particular I think all Tough Skin needs is a slightly higher value vs. champions. People already take this by default though because the bush MS is niche, tho not bad either...

Oh ty for pointing out tough skin, I actually meant to ask for a 3rd choice for that instead of putting all of it on tough skin x.x I literally just forgot to recheck stuff I suggested from preseason.

i think the legendary guardian needs a buff. it's pretty weak imo compared to the swiftness masteries, which are incredibly powerful. something like 4 or 5 armor and mr per champion instead of 3 is probably plenty enough

I was about to defend legendary guardian until I realized even on my "all or nothing" engage tanks (Such as sejuani) who don't really care if they're cc'd after ulti->combo (Since hopefully their team follows up) I'm still taking swiftness over it......

So yea if they raise it by 1 armor and mr, see a few patches and raise it by 1 more it could contend better.

yeah lol. i currently see no reason to ever take it over swiftness. but a careful approach is usually better, like you suggest. this post is pretty solid, I wish it had more visibility. maybe try reposting it after reformatting it and adding explanations to each one?

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

Hmm, I was putting this under my main post but maybe I should explain each....

I'll work on explanations for each but it's mostly to make stuff more appealing and allowing new 3rd options to be included. I'll try and explain each though. Thanks for the suggestion.

1 and 2, they really don't need to be more appealing as they are no-brainers for each champions, Xerath wont get the AS and Jinx wont get sorcery.

3 i agree on natural talent, while vampirism is viable all game long, natural talent is lackluster in both. though, have in mind, they are low level masteries.

5 yes, this mastery should never have been removed.

6 mheee, would be better between Piercing Thoughts and Battering Blows.

7 indeed, having in mind it competes to 5% dmg-ish mastery, it really should be a bit stronger.

8 dk what you wanted to say there

9 seems awful, tough skin already does the job.

10 would be better as a cunning keystone (or just in cunning tree) "Wayfinder": Increase range of trinkets by 15% and reduce their cooldown by 10% and recall time is reduced by 1 second.

11 mhe, i would like better to have tenacity runes.

14 everyone would get precision and most would stack them with piercing thoughts/battering blows.

15 we don't really need even more damage multipliers, more considering how many of those will be added in next patch.

16 i would still opt for the tenacity, Unyielding needs more strength though.

1+2 were mostly to accommodate 6

3+4. I do know they're low level masteries but yea vampirism is just flat out better and natural talent while few champs want it more, should have been more to aid early(The low flat ad+ap) but still offer a bit late (the scaling) they nailed the scaling properly but it needs the early game boost to help last hitting, and the vampirism change was just to accommodate that.

  1. When I seen the new hextech revolver I thought it's passive would be added to all of it's later tier products, I was pretty sad that it wasn't :/

  2. It would never be good that far into the tree. You would never choose it over % total armor penetration as an AD, and AP would go into cunning and completely avoid it and if they don't they'd still take the % magic penetration because those mages who take DFT don't have a need for cdr.

  3. Some of the empty numbers mean they either answered the idea in another way or I rethought about it due to another reason. I'm not moving down idea numbers because I sometimes post number "x" in another forum and I don't want to ruin the info even on outdated forums.

  4. Yea it's pretty bad but I couldn't think of an additional bonus to it so just placed it there until I could. Basically a placeholder.

  5. TBH I just want it as a sightstone buff cause it's entirely designed with supports in mind and would make supporting more fun to get into if it's their main item

  6. That would be a cool yellow rune addition since Only 2 yellow runes are used: Armor per level/flat(for jungle) or hp per level, everything else yellow rune-wise is garbage.

  7. Not everyone would, conditional 2% over feast's sustain or garunteed 3%(Ah I forgot to suggest double-edge buffs ty for reminding me)

  8. The issue is more of bounty hunter just being considerably weak and a waste of time compared to the much better oppressor. This change would make it more fun to have and use

  9. Especially with the tenacity boots being back that simple buff would give you 20 mr+armor for teamfights which is a great addition to have over the current 15 for all-in job done type of champs like amumu/sejuani/naut etc. (mostly non-sustain type tanks) they don't really care about getting out they just want to survive initial burst and get out their stuff to swing a teamfight. This buff would not be underwhelming at all.

Intelligence is in the same level as Precision (also battering blows and piercing thoughts) and is often taken. No one takes DFT.

they could directly buff sigthstone then, or give a mastery that "increases warding range and the first ward laid by a sighstone each refill is a item 2043

  1. Not everyone would, conditional 2% over feast's sustain or garunteed 3%(Ah I forgot to suggest double-edge buffs ty for reminding me)

Magic + Armor penetration would always be taken at that level, unless (and probably will if left at that level) it's nerfed to grant an insignificant amount.

Its not, Bounty Hunter is good on assassins and champions without CC, if you don't have reliable CC, then Oppressor is kinda a waste.

i would take 15% tenacity over (a maximum ideal amount) of 15 resistances every day of the week on any champion that goes that far into the resolve tree.

The early mastery of cdr is to low commit cdr for those who want it, like low commitment AS or spell damage if it's placed that low in the tree it would be better to not even add it at all because there's no point to commit for that little cdr vs the cdr cap increase in the other tree esp when AD don't have an issue getting cdr the champs who would like this low commit cdr are tanks/supports/mages/and some bruisers while it's low commitment.

Brand, cassi, always take DFT because they keep it ticking on an entire enemy team consistently, karthus takes it because he sustains damage on an entire enemy team and his on-death+ulti continue that too. Swain would also be apart of it if it wasn't for swain mostly being focused on short exchanges.

yea either/or, I just want some support love lol

Wait precision? I said assassinate <.< Jeez I just noticed you brought up precision when It was expose weakness and assassinate being talked about xD confusing me jeez.

It's better to just get oppressor still unless your enemy team is just completely screwing up and letting you take out all of their members oppressor is much better consistently

All-in no-sustain tanks don't care about being cc'd though all they care about is going in and blowing their stuff and their job is done they don't care about whether or not they'll be un-cc'd to do more, and even then merc threads is good again so taking merc+legendary warrior can provide more than going swiftness+something for those type of champs and even then all this is proving is legendary gaurdian needs a buff.

They implemented my suggestion for number 9 >:D by far better idea than I had, but it's awesome.

Ralanr1 votes

Keep oppressor and allow CoC to proc on neutral monsters.

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

Idk with bounty hunter actually being rewarding even for utility mages like zil not really missing oppressor.

Also with the changes to jungle, I feel like if CoC proc'd on them it'd be too much, plus most of the jungle roster would get the short end of the stick quite horribly.

Ralanr1 votes

I just want to keep oppressor because it helps tanks hurt more.

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

They already have a mastery replacement for tanks.

Ralanr1 votes

Which beyond CoC?

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

Sorry for taking awhile was afk.

"When in combat with an enemy champion you gain 1% damage per second up to 5% at 5 seconds."

The moment you hit an enemy champion you don't leave combat until 6 or 8 seconds of not hitting each other if I remember, and tanks tend to be in combat are always in combat for more than 2 seconds so this is a huge buff to tanks who go into the offense tree compared to oppressor. (Plus you don't have to waste CC nor need it in general)

Honestly now that I think about it, it's just vastly a huge buff over oppressor with a bit more fun to activate.

Ralanr1 votes

Doesn't battle trance nullify that?

EcchiOtakuTM1 votes

? What you mean nullify, that IS battle trance o.o
