Why is it okay that one player at Diamond+ can throw the game, but one person can't carry games?

This is making this season pretty fucking terrible. Diamond+ games are legitimately coming down 100% to picks and which team has the worst player.

Because that's true in every division, because of the way LoL distributes gold and the consequences for dying. Each team is as strong as its weakest member. That's why MOBAs are the most frustrating genre of game. That's why players are so toxic.

You've just hit the root of a lot of issues with these games.

Heroes of the storm isnt this way it's a reverse to league in a way. There is no items only lvls and talents builds . everyone hits every lvl on your team at the same time. Which makes soaking up xp making so important . like if your team isnt laning or a person is roaming you literally are losing xp .

Its not for every division, you can carry games alone up to gold, but in plat-diamond its impossible, in higher elos even Faker wont win a 4v5 match.

No Not really . league comes down to 1 misplay by a teammate . like getting caught out or you have a full 's wave with baron as the adc with no one defending and you back.... To defend against the tank jungle and tank supp ....

That's not a bad thing.

That's literally the basis for almost every game ever; Don't make mistakes, especially fatal ones. Capitalize on the mistakes of your enemy, as much as possible.

But that's where the interplay comes in; Play in such a way, where you force your enemy to be more likely to commit mistakes and where you do not present a target they can capitalize on if YOU make a mistake.
(aka covering your ass and making sure your enemy can't cover his)

Except you aren't the four other players on your team, and ranked is so fucked up that you can't expect everyone in the game to be at a similar skill level, so the game ends up being an RNG fuckfest decided by which team gets the drooling retard.

It's absolutely a bad thing unless Riot does something to fix skill problems.

What's your point? it's a team game, not only does that not contradict game theory it actually strengthens the argument.

Do you not understand the concept of game theory? the team that plays worse will lose. The method by which you are arguing is "The weakest link on the team will give openings to the enemy team which the enemy team exploits for victory"... that's not a bad thing, that's literally one of the core tenets of game theory.

they can't fix the skill level in solo Q. It's dumb to expect them to do that. go find some friends and create a 5v5 ranked team. it'll be better

Except the skill levels at high rating were fine from season 1 to 3, and then started getting fucked up from season 4 on.

Laning Phase is completely irrelevant in this game, you can get destroyed in lane and not get punished for it because the only thing that matters is what mid and JG do in the early/mid game.

One death = big gold for killer and some gold for team means one player can feed all of the enemy team

While one good player cant make up the same amount of gold

idk its kind of hard to stay balanced on a chair when one of the legs breaks off. same thing with league, if one of your players messes up the game at a critical moment its easy to lose.

That's how it was last season too, only now it happens at 30 minutes instead of 45 minutes. Still an improvement in my book.

I would agree with you, but I just saw a Fizz hard carry his 0-4 Vayne, 0-6 Gragas and 0-5 Thresh teammates single handedly against my friend's trio. Fizz's lane opponent did not feed Fizz and had the 2nd highest KDA on the enemy team. Fizz got fed from roaming and ganking all lanes. All players were s5 diamond+.

1-8-1 Lucian on promos. Everyone else won their lane and played well, but this player 100% lost the game for us. He's not even participating in team fights.

Is this supposed to be fun? Three losses to top throwing the game, two losses to mid throwing the game. No control over the outcome because fed juggernauts are two shotting anyone on the team.
