Riven ramps up late while still having a retarded early.
She builds pure AD with defense boots like a goon and gets a shield the size of earth that at least almost guarantees her to land her ult in teamfights which got buffed a little back.
She's not even a single percent under darius's overall win rate and that's using patch 7.1 (pre-darius nerf) statistics.

When you play against a good riven running tlords for the 45% CDR cap, she fucks you early game (unless you play a champ that hard counters her) and she stays relevant late game building pure AD like a goon, with maybe a steraks in there for some survivability.

Tychusfindlay9192 votesActually a good Riven player can easily beat most Darius players. She simply has too much mobility and CC that it almost never allows him to land a Q on the outer part. Post-6 Darius has a slight upper hand but early game Riven can take advantage of him.
Old Darius instant Q allowed him to beat riven hard early game, plus he had way more damage without having to get to 5 stacks, that's why he beat riven. Post rework riven can shit on him by playing around his .75 second Q windup.

This works only vs casual Riven players. Garen can't beat a Riven spammer. Your only chance is to get many ganks, so she will play passive until she gets farmed.

Riven if behind won't do much, even more so with these short games. Laning is everything now, if you aren't low elo and don't know how to do objectives and close the up the game.

I don't know. Every time I see guys like Garen, Darius, Illaoi being permastunned and slowed by the enemy AP supports. If the enemy locks something like Zyra and there is Garen on my team, I just dodge.

The CDR is likely better due to the ineffectiveness of Lethality in lane for Riven.

Every site has 50% winrate for her, and COTC was a good defensive option for her till the nerf, now level 5 I have a 68 health shield or so from it, thunderlords is always there for burst, but if you need to get in, burst and get out you might aswell take stormraiders, fervor is most likely your best option vs tanks/fighters nowadays.

On this page he's 52.3% at 1.5% pickrate. You can play around with those tabs at the top as much as you want, the winrate and pickrate never line up. How can you trust a site that can't even agree with itself?

Riven is a high pickrate fairly skill intensive champion. You'd expect her to hover bellow 50% at most points in time. Her being slightly above 50% is the same as Lee Sin being slightly above 50%, they're both out of line when this happens.

Arakadia1 votesAlistar does fucking garbage damage. Garen, Illaoi, Volibear, and Mordekaiser all all juggernauts. Of course they do damage, and they're not tanks. Sej, Naut, and Sion won't out outdamage a Riven. Skarner isn't really a full tank (but you can go tank) and won't outdamage Riven.
