Someone explain to me why the Undying Grasp tweak was in the "right direction".

Ok, major context behind the change was how easily it was abused, but as far as I know it was really only abused by champions like Fiora and Yasuo. The difference in HP between a tank and a fighter during the laning phase was inconsequential towards the matchup, because the fighter would just plain win.

Whats to stop them from using Bloodlust instead while tanks suffer from even less dueling capability?

It was being abused by actual tanks too (looking at you, Mao'Kai). And Fiora and Yasuo (who I didn't even realize was using the mastery) are still going to go for Grasp because it increases their damage; if they wanted sustain they would have gone Bloodlust in the first place (which, again, I thought Yasuo was already doing).

Yasuo top doesn't only take Bloodlust, it also (near 25 - 35% of the time) takes Undying. Fiora takes it as her most common keystone.

I knew Fiora was using it as basically her only one, and I don't think that's going to change. She took it because it increased her damage in a tankier build. If she wanted sustain she would have just gotten Bloodlust to begin with, but that was never what it was about.

They don't have less dueling capability. They just have less sustain but more dmg.

They hope the increased damage and lowered sustain is going to cause fewer noodle fights.

they apparantly dont realize that those noodle fights are between specific champions with a lot of inbuilt sustain.

if mao and brusier ekko can duel for 10 minutes, then its because of maos passive with his ult and ekkos fucking shield and ult.

this if anything would be a buff to these champions who now deal a little more damage while only losing out on a microscopic portion of their sustain.

When a 5K hp voli attacks with Q+R+GoTU+W, one hit and all is over. May be R is an overkill ( Q+AA+E+AA+AA+GoTU+W).

Wouldn't they have stronger dueling with the increased damage?

0.5% more scaling in damage doesn't make up for the 1% loss in healing.

It's supposed to make more of a difference for the tank since the damage they take is less, but if the healing they get out of the trade is way less, there's even less recourse for them in the matchup between them and a fighter using the same mastery.
