Damage is damn pathetic if your above 80% HP, has quite a narrow hitbox, tanks can block it for you.

Executes do more damage the lower your health is. They do damage regardless.

See the base damage? See how it increases based on missing health? It does more damage the lower your health is, but it still does damage at full health.

I'm not arguing that it isn't an execute. I'm arguing that even an execute has base damage.

And considering just how much AD Jhin can get from building crit, AS, and normal AD, the damage scaling is low because the number it's scaling with is expected to be high.

So to put this math into perspective, let's say you have 900 ad. 20% of 900 is 180. The 160 base damage plus 180 is 340. Plus the fourth shot crit. Assuming you have an I.E. Your fourth shot will deal 850 damage. 50 less than your base AD, and that is a crit without Jihn's crit penalty. And don't forget, if you didn't have an IE you would of dealt 680 damage. Basically, this only does that damage when you are at really late game.

If I would be complaining about anything on Jhin, it would be his Mini-Garen ult every fourth hit.

The difference being unlike Garen, he's not tanky at all. And unlike just about any other ADC, he has a reload system after 4 autos (Graves being the only other one, except he's garbage in botlane), which has a static 2.5 second reload time he can't avoid if he wants to fire said fourth shot, nor can he reload faster with any skills (like Graves can), and his attack speed is locked to only per-level gain meaning within the time it takes to auto 4 times, other ADCs could have riddled him full of holes.

Yes, Jhin is an ADC, but is more like a long range AD caster/mage (Xerath-ish).

There are more factors at play, but what I am saying here is that I fail to understand why his ult is an issue. It's harder to aim than it looks, and there is plenty of counterplay to it. IE, moving.

We can go into whether or not the Mini-Garen ult is a problem at another point, and I am sure we'll be at each other's throats soon enough. =P

Okay two things.

If it didn't slow, there would be like 0 ways for Jhin to hit the rest.
It's only high damage when you're low. Him hitting you with all four shouldn't kill you unless you're a squishy.

I've seen a Veigar press R and blow up a full health ADC. The damage alone is enough to kill someone with little health and resistances.

So yeah, it's an execute but that doesn't stop the flat damage being enough to kill someone outright with flat damage alone.

If your total health was more than 860 and he one shot you for 860, then there would be a problem.

Actually, even in lategame, if you assume Veigar has 1000 AP, his ultimate does only 1025 damage to a full health target before calculating resistances/MPen, meaning it can't oneshot a squishy. If you assumed a squishy had 1400 lategame, that takes over 1400 AP to oneshot at full health if Veigar's ult did true damage, except resistances will always reduce it a great deal even if one gets MPen.

So the only way for it to oneshot a full health target is if they're SEVERELY behind or if Veigar is EXTREMELY ridiculously ahead.

But yeah. Other points are right, just wanted to point this out.

You don't seem to get why a Jhin that's approaching 1000 AD (which is what he needs to be dealing that much damage to a full health champion) should be able deal 800+ damage to a squishy character not building any defensive items with the last shot of his ult, but I'm the idiot. Okay.

I mean. With 900-950 AD (which is decently easy by lategame with full crit build + a few dragons, and then elder and/or Baron optionally), just a regular auto would do massive damage, let alone a crit.
