Why do ppl defend rengar 1 shotting from stealth within .1~.2s

Anime Fizz··6 votes·1,798 views

Yet those same ppl attack fizz, who takes full 2 seconds to kill anyone even if 20-0 as "cancer no counterplay",

"but (rengar) hes an assassin its fine for his play pattern to have no counterplay if he gets a kill lead", meanwhile if fizz ever get to the game state where he can kill ppl without ulting hes the worst thing in the planet to play against and shouldnt exist.

You guys make no sense boards, cat man good fish man bad i guess.

I honestly know fizz is always hated (for no reason tbh, literally the highest counterplay assassin in the game) and i dont care about that, what bothers me is that we actually see some ppl here defending the abomination that is rengar.

Now here is where you are wrong. Fizz is not the assassin with the most counterplay. That would have to go (probably) to Katarina

fizz takes 2 seconds to kill anyone? because im pretty sure once hes fed he just uses his ult as an engage, Q and E kills everyone. While also making him invincible. And being on a much shorter CD than Rengars ult, which is how he primarily kills anyone.

Dont get me wrong, I dont like rengar killing people instantly, but Fizz is much worse. Which is more cancer, a guy cheating with 1 shot kill hack or a guy cheating with a cant be killed hack?

Fizz 100-0ing someone with just Q and E?

I dont think ever on the history of champ he has been able to do that, maybe when lichbane had a 1.0 ap ratio (hint it has .5 now) and he had a 20 kill/5 level lead on everyone on the map maybe.

I think you make a good point in a way though, rengar does seem too strong lately, though I'm referencing his strength before the last patch

Because rengar actually dies if he's caught out.

Because rengar actually dies if he's caught out.

And fizz doesnt?

His only defense is part of his burst combo, and he is a full squishy melee champion that can be locked down as soon as his E goes on cooldown.

Rengar can actually tank burst with his W and even remove CC, its easier to pin down and kill a fizz quickly than rengar.

Rengar has to consume his Ferocity that he's built up just to cleanse CC. If he doesn't have that or has already used it, he's a sitting duck because he's got no escape abilities.

Fizz, on the other hand, has a spell that acts as both a dash and makes him untargetable on a low cooldown. Yes, it costs a lot of mana but couple that with his dash and Fizz usually doesn't have as many problems escaping as Rengar does.

Also, for what it's worth, I've literally never seen someone try to defend Rengar in his current state. There have been a few times where Rengar got super fed and people deserved to die because of it (as with any assassin) but that's about it.

Fizz is definitely highly abusable in lane, but if you don't get a lead pre 6 you sorta just lose.

Fizz is capable of a full 100-0 even under tower upon hitting a very questionably-coded skillshot with...I believe an 80 second cd?

I don't actually feel like feeding Fizz does anything, though. He still needs ult for a kill so it's kinda irrelevant how many he gets in lane.

Rengar on the other hand is quite inverse. He doesn't need to hit anything either. Rengar can and will kill pretty much anything in under a second if he has the slightest of leads.

He is very weak to proper grouping, though. Not much he can do besides dive in for one person and die immediately after.

I'd say both champions are rather unhealthy, though Fizz does offer more counterplay with items and proper wave control during the early game.

I think everyone hates the fact that fizz can become untargetable and dodge anything while rengar cant. This removes a lot of counter play strategies that work against rengar but not against fizz.

Rengar can straight up remove hard cc and heal 50% of the damage he took at the same time.

You can literally always see fizz coming and he has to hit a long range skillshot, wait two full seconds and THEN go for the kill, meanwhile if you have bad team mates that gives rengar 2 kills early game you dont get to play the rest of the game if you're not playing a bruiser or tank as rengar can jump out of stealth, vomit his whole kit during his jump animation and kill you faster than human average reaction time.

How can you guys even compare those 2 champs, fizz has like 20 times more counterplay than rengar, in pretty much every secnario.

Fizz: Bops the ADC; AOE Dmg that can still dish out/dodge many abilities post-ult Rengar: Bops the ADC faster, then tries to run away while the other four gorillas hunt you down ironically

"yet those same people" is where you're making assumptions.

Also, we can assume this post is biased based on your name.

Just so you know, Rengar ulting notifies everybody from a large distance away, he still exists while invisible, can be seen by control wards, and can be CC. There is counterplay to each.

Look, every assassin has their pros and cons. No one likes being one shot. I mostly play talon and I feel disgusting knowing most people have zero ways of stopping my combo.

But with that being said renegar has weaknesses just like fizz and he has his one shot strengths just like fizz.

Hjelp1 votes

You have to play horribly against a Rengar to the point where he can actually 1 shot, his combo is hard to pull off, he's useless into coordinated teams, if you play thresh/braum/alistar/leona/literally any tank support he gets fucked over, and last but not least his cleanse doesn't matter because it doesn't make him disappear from the map like Fizz.

If rengar is 1 shotting you from stealth then you already lost.

Fizz on the otherhand has a lot of power put into his R...and since its a skillshot its going to have a lot more loaded onto it than rengar`s R....and if you don't have vision then chances are its going to hit so everyone better ward up....

In essence, a fizz that you cant see is more dangerous than a rengar that you cant see if neither are fed and you don't have a way to reactively prevent fizz R from affecting you.

Does it make fizz broken? No, ofcourse not, it just forces you to get vision and stop him from flanking, the only piece of the puzzle left is for EVERYONE to be mindful about his R and how it is important to avoid it, depending on the elo that you are playing at, this unfortunately isn't always possible and fizz can singlehandedly win a game just because someone important walked into his R.

Have to say I agree with Anime Fizz. I might be biased because fizz is my favorite champion, but he is my favorite because of his kit.

It is strong but not over powerful. And every ability he uses has to be highly calculated. He is one of the least forgiving champs in the game but that's what makes him fun.

I personally like how he can be really strong but rarely relies on the same tactics other champs use. You can always see him. He may have an ability that makes him untargetable, but you can still see him, therefore you can punish him if he plays badly. I honestly do not feel skillful or satisfied knowing I came out of invisibility with no chance for the enemy to even try. It just feels gross. It's not fun gameplay, that simple. It's the same reason I dont play yasuo. I wanted to pick him up, but after a few games i realized that even if i lost lane hard, with 100% crit I could still just crap on the enemy teams. It makes me feel dirty and makes the game less enjoyable.

Now with all the new champs and reworks they have to keep trying to change old champs to help them stay relevant. Its really annoying.
