Bard has the worst win rate of all supports...

Fact. I'm not counting supports like Fiddlesticks, Shen, or Kennen, because these champs have other roles they can play and do very well. Support is literally all Bard does, and his performance has been very poor since his release. I think the issue is that when Riot designed Bard, they added way too much counterplay in his kit. His shrines shouldn't be able to be destroyed and he should be allowed to place more of them around the map. He should also be rewarded more for gathering chimes (they grant experience, gold, etc), because when he's off doing this it means he can't be in fights, warding/destroying wards, taking objectives, etc. And when he's gathering them he's usually by himself, which makes him easy prey for junglers (or anyone else roaming around). Finally, I think the stasis from his ult should be instant cast, since stasis is instant with item actives.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that his pick rate doubled from last patch and continues to rise, which means more players new to his mechanics are no doubt struggling with learning him

But sure, let's remove half of his intended weaknesses and dumb him down so that shitters can use him well, because who needs champs with a learning curve?

He should also be rewarded more for gathering chimes

Scaling damage, meep CDR, extra meeps, scaling slow, AoE damage and slow, mana restoration and experience isn't enough for you? Do you want Bard to passively deal damage to every enemy unit as soon as he touches a chime?

because when he's off doing this it means he can't be in fights, warding/destroying wards, taking objectives, etc.

God forbid he has to decide what to do?

Apparently there are quite a bit of "sh*tters" playing this game, including plat+ players and everyone who played him at worlds. Because they seem to be pretty bad with Bard. Granted, he was only in two games at worlds this year, but he lost both of them.

And as far as "deciding what he has to do" is concerned, I believe he should be rewarded more for gathering chimes. Every champion in this game has "chores" they need to do (gotta ward, gotta farm, gotta teamfight, etc), but Bard has one extra "chore" that he has to do. He NEEDS those chimes, or else he won't have much damage. Bard has a million things to do and he never has time to get all of them done.

Any good Bard player would know that potential comes with practice. Nobody wants to hear your opinion based on your thoughts from playing him once or your shitty "oh muh bad winrate" argument.

So apparently giving facts is a "bad argument". Good to know.

It's a fact that you aren't factoring play rate, experience or anything into.

His winrate on experienced players is MUCH higher because they actually know what they're doing.

If you want to talk about "experience", let's talk about his performance at worlds this year. I don't think he won a single game. And I think those players have quite a bit of experience with him. Just accept it. Bard is garbage no matter where he's played. Doesn't matter if it's bronze, challenger, etc. There's always someone who can do his job better.

That's because Bard is a champion tailored for coordinated play. He does poorly in the unorganized mess that is yoloQQ.

i love bard and i find his late game shenanigans hilarius when i just float around the map with journey on a 4 second cd and getting upwards of 800 movespeed from chimes 1

I've been doing Bard in soloqueue for a while and I can say the ONLY reason why he's so low is because A: His stun is hard to hit if you're inexperienced, B: Overestimate W's heal early when it's weak, and is only good in coordinated play. I have to try harder to communicate than if I was playing Sona persay, almost twice to let an ADC know where I'm going etc.

EDIT; Is that true? I just looked and I don't believe that's true.

im going to ask you... have you ever had to lane against a bard mid or bard jungle... in mid lane he just stuns you to oblivien and out trades you out sustains you and is just annoying as heck and bard jungle collects chimes as fast as they spawn and gets to the point where with some ap items he does half your health with one auto. another thing, chimes grant bard MASSIVE amounts of mana and some xp, now dont get me wrong its not enough to supplement xp from a lane but its enough to make roaming an ok thing

Bard's win rate wildly fluctuates from one day to the next. So, if you want to use that as evidence to your statement then consider the following.

http://www.lolking.net/champions/bard?region=all&map=sr&queue=5x5&league=ranked#statistics

His win rate has been anywhere between 45% and 54% throughout the past few weeks alone.

Those win rates come from mostly bronze players. No one takes that seriously.

Should I spam links to every league in ranked or are you capable of clicking through them yourself to see that his win rate is never constant in any of them?

For most champions winrate fluctuates the most as elo gets higher because as you increases ranking you decrease the player pool.

If they ere, say, 3 people who play Sona in master, her winrate is going to fluctuate greatly from one day to the next depending on how well these people played, that doesn't mean Sona is OP one day and sucky the next one.

He's difficult to play, and if you looked at the page for bard you'll see his win rate starts a little under 45% and goes up to a little over 55%. http://champion.gg/champion/Bard

He's a champion you'll easily notice whether someone plays him or not and he can be a big liability for his team when not played correctly.

That is also correct. A bad Bard actually is detrimental to his team, most other support champions aren't as detrimental if played by inexperienced people. The ones I can think of are Alistar and Janna because of the knock backs.

He's also probably the hardest support to play well and doesn't reach his maximum potential in solo queue where there is less communication. Anyone good with Bard already does well with him, his pick rate has gone up a lot recently so there are a lot of newer Bards dropping his win rate down.
