Why has there been no Riot response about Gnar?

There hasn't been any mention of Gnar at all as of late from Red Posts despite his weak balance state and the upcoming tank update. Not even a mention that he will get base stat changes, is or isn't eligible for updates, etc. I've made several posts already asking about Gnar, been thoroughly checking Surrenderat20, and asked on all the game state posts Meddler has been doing recently.

Please Riot, just say something about Gnar. Say what you think about his state. Say whether or not he has game health problems to address.

Well...Frozen Mallet/black Cleaver was really strong right when Gnar got buffs about mid way through season 6...slowly but surely Gnars build path, keystone masteries and Gnar himself got nerfed until he just could keep up in top lane.

It was classic situation where they nerfed the item and the champion (kinda like Xin Zhao/sated devourer).

Part of why he is so bad right now is he just doesn't have the kitability early that he needs to survive 95% of top laners. One thing that I thought would be kinda cool to see is maybe a portion of his mini-E cooldown to be returned whenever he proves his mini-W passive. It rewards Gnar players who are effectively playing around that mechanic and gives them a little feasibility to play a little more aggressive in lane, which he should be able to as he is a lane bully.

They mentioned him on the recent Ghostcrawler monthly interview, if my memory serves, when asking a question about how they feel about the new-ish champs in the game. They said they didn't think his design was as much of a smash success as Jhin or Ivern, but that they didn't think he was as bad off and unbalanceable as Azir or Kalista. Nothing was said with regard to the tank update, though.

As I mentioned, I'm going off memory here, so don't quote me this :) I'm not quite willing to sit through 2 hours again just to make sure I have the quotation right for you.

gnar is kind of a lane bully but if everyone is playing stuff like jayce and quinn it's understandable why he isn't played much right now. he is good against champions that can't deal with his mobility and range and right now people are playing the types of champions that will just shit on him when he's in mini form

The short answer is that Riot simply doesn't care. They have a lot of other things to worry about than actually making sure they players' voices are heard. Like a great and fun gamemode like Poro King.

I agree.. His early game is horrendous.... I want them to revert the nerfs to him from pro play already. They made him too item dependent & worst yet, FM dependent now...
