Is it just me or does armor feel completely useless

So true. >.<
kog actually does more magic than physical damage to champions its like 60% magic, 40% physical
Oh, mb
But you get the point
That means armor is around double useless against him.
or you could build hea. . .
Oh fuck it
Stormraiders
At least they will die too
There is a reason I started building
every game on Lux, hehe
You could build those 3 items on any mage and you could possible get the same result.
Yeah, you might scratch people with MR.

so true, was playing a ARAM, had veigar, zyra, cho`gath and katarina vs maokai, he went 1 vs 4 for 30 seconds and managed to kill off the 700 health veigar, we had 5 AP in the team so he could go full mr, meanwhile if he had 6 armor items and went 1 vs 4 AD champions he would die in 2 seconds.
I also don't understand why the hell adaptive helm is even a thing, isn't sustained damage supposed to counter tanks? so then why do they get a item that counteracts sustained damage? playing zyra against maokai with that shit is hell, he would heal more than he would lose bloody hell
thats the dumbest shit ive seen in a while
Armor counters pure ad casters like pantheon pretty well.
It doesn't do so well against sustained AD auto attacks that become sustained burst when they crit.
Armor by itself doesn't feel that impressive but when you add item effects like
and
you´ll end with a completely different story-
Altho kog just melts things as long as he is allowed to auto attack, being the slow clumsy and rather awkward void acid turret he is it´s not too strange.
But i noticed something that i have mixed feels on though.
It's the fact that when tanks like
were updated along with new core items like
added they all do fairly well against marksmen, i play seju when needing a frontline because she is absolutely solid.
And to keep some balance riot decided to bump marksmen up a notch or two to keep even pace with the newly improved tanks.
But older tanks and divers without powerful defensive steroids were left in the dust with little to no consideration at all, it has left many of them actually feeling "squishy" in the face of the just slightly stronger marksmen. Of course a few exceptions like
appears because they can avoid the worst damage via abilities of their own, but any without such a thing feels kinda bad.
Doesn't help that supports, particularly enhancer ones, were buffed as well.
Those are my thoughts after playing
and
.
Also some
I play Sej when I have to solo tank (due to everyone else locking in carries of course). The passive boost is the only thing that makes it poissible.
Of course, Seju is all about her passive and CC now.
My go to strategy is just to dive in with my passive and chainstun then use stoneplate and prepare another round of chainstuns.
Then usually back out a bit to regain my passive and some health from warmog before diving in again.
It usually works quite well, only difficulty is keeping a hard game going and getting my items, but when snowballing instead you are pretty much immortal and will have to try your best if you want to die.
Tank reworks, now they are twice as hard to kill or half as difficult, it depends on things,
All bets are off if the enemy picks
though.
I play sej support and do fine against vayne. I'm tanky enough to be in lane vs her and l enough cc to keep her locked when we fight it out. Usually they are dumb and tumble before you ult. Or they let you jump on her and point-blank it.
I was thinking of the post 2-3 items vayne, the damage is no joke with her.
The true damage proc is about the only things you need to worry about usually.

I don't think you build
&
on Mid Mages. Do you? Hmm only armor mage can get is
&
, but still
manages to take 50% of your HP just by R + AA + E (HAPPENED TO ME TODAY)! Armor sucks af.

You're replying a year late you know ._.
Just you. Also people with unrealistic expectations of survivability against champions building pure damage.
I hate the fact that armor don't really do anything against ADC. They have too much LS on top of HIgh DPS.
I'd feel better about building armor if
didn't make it mean nothing.
It makes it mean less. Not nothing. (>_>)
It doesn't feel that way when you go from having a decent life span to getting 100-0'd within seconds of entering a teamfight because the carry finished that hell-forsaken crossbow.
I play tanks and main bruisers. That... thing... turns my good games into awful ones once late game turns round. shudders
There has always been Last Whisper at 35% bonus armor reduction.
too much armor pen these days, for example an average talon build looks like this
and a situational
, that's 4 armor pen items
im of the opinion that armor and armor pen both need to be reduced a bit
How about crit. Crit is the problem

How about crit. Crit is the problem
Yeah maybe crit damage needs to be lowered. perhaps down to 150% or so.
I just hate it when ADC's get to abuse crit so much now that most of their counters (like assassins and divers) haven't been doing so hot lately. I'd like to see a change like that being implemented.

I got two suggestions:
One: Reduce the base crit for AA attacks (crit for other champs based on ability should be unchanged)
Two: Reduced the AA damage done by Ranged champions to around 85 to 75% similar to kalista's passive.
Crit overall needs an overhaul. I don't like the feeling of when the enemy Tristana, Xayah or "Insert Crit ADC's name here" gets his/her IE + Zeal item, then the game's over and done with. Yasuo gets to do the same thing, but being a melee carry with low base stats, he's still very easy to punish despite his strong power spike once he gets his PD + IE.
A suggestion I could probably make is make it so that crit chance and strike are less effective for ADC's so that it's less effecient on them, but still usable to an extent.
It feels that way vs champs like
etc because they ALL have a second form of damage, be it magic damage (Trist, Kog), % HP damage (Kog, Vayne) or true damage (Twitch, Vayne).
Vs champs like
, because they rely so much on skills / poke, armour is MUCH more effective against them.
Armour needs to be retuned to ALSO do SOMETHING about the copious amounts of bullshit that champs like Twitch are putting people through right now. It's fine that Vayne shreds tanks so well, though, that's her niche.
I'm not saying i've nevee gotten a klll because of it but twitch's true damage isn't really a threat. The reason it's true dmg is probably so it actually Has an effect on tanks.
Hell. It needs to be true damage to be relevant to anyone. Otherwise having any armor/MR at all would mean it would do literately no damage at level 1.
ikr, twitch might be strong RN but treating his poison as if it's on the same lvl as vayne e is a bit much.
I don't think it's anywhere near the same level, I am merely explaining why, when you are first likely to see Twitch when you have lots of armour, that his poison likely does pretty decent damage. Not Vayne W levels of damage, but it's still damage you can only mitigate by getting more hp, thus making armour feel less effective against it, and Twitch the champion, than say Talon, who has no % HP, or magic / true damage built into his kit.
I am actually not against his poison doing true damage, I think that definitely makes sense with the way his kit is built and it's certainly not what is making him an "issue" right now.
if you're talking about armor vs lethality, then you need a lot of it.
Armor vs adcs with no armor pen items. It's a joke.
I bought thornmail randuins and frozen gauntlet and I still couldn't 1v1 an ubderfed adc
As a tank? You're not supposed to. Adc counters tanks. It's a case of high sustained damage versus intermittent periods of small burst and cc.
As a juggernaut though, the second the ADC buidls Lord Dominick's, my game is over. And it feels awful.
I played
and solokilled the enemy
3 times in one game when she overextended. (High Plat Elo)
Some tanks can 1v1 adc's without too many problems. Another one is
and maybe
You're not supposed to 1v1 an adc as a tank.

A little armor goes a long way early in the game. You need a bit more later, but lethality doesn't scale well against champs that are building tanky (as intended).
Is it just me or does nobody realize the irony of "cloth armor"
It's actually very effective.
-facepalm-
