A few thoughts on Ashe's new kit

While I don't disagree that it's an interesting rework with some very good changes, especially her E, I'm not very sure that it is an overall buff to Ashe.

  1. Passive slow is a nerf across almost all levels until 16. It's especially significant between level 12 to 15 (6-7% difference in slow). Active makes up for it but short duration and long CD, which could be potentially worse for kiting (overkill during active, insufficient during Q downtime). However, I understand that the active uptime can't be buffed since it's also a damage steroid.
  2. Base attack speed nerf and steriod active on Q reminds me of Tristana, and she's not exactly in a good place (http://champion.gg/champion/Tristana/ADC). Perhaps I'm too pessimistic about this and it's actually much better than I think.
  3. W nerf along with passive change means she has both very little poke damage and no burst damage (her old passive + Shiv made for some nice burst on a squishy). Now she needs her damage to ramp up, and her first hit will always be the weakest one (complete opposite of before). IMO her style was to stay safe at the back and poke with W, or fish for criticals by abusing her superior range, mostly because she has no mobility or escapes nor is she bulky. With her new kit, I don't know if that style is still viable.
  4. Ultimate nerf felt unnecessary.

I'm worried that it'll become the same as Tristana's rework that got everyone excited at first but eventually left her in a worse spot. The main problem with that rework was that the compensation nerfs were too harsh. I'm worried that the same might happen to Ashe.

######Btw, it would be really fun if an AP ratio is added to Q.

Comparison of Slow %, assuming Ashe maxed Q after W (level 1 to 3 removed as it's not very relevant):

|Level ==|Old ==|New ==| Difference |- |4|15|11|-4 |5|15|11|-4 |6|15|11|-4 |7|15|17|2 |8|20|17|-3 |9|20|17|-3 |10|25|23|-2 |11|25|23|-2 |12|30|23|-7 |13|35|29|-6 |14|35|29|-6 |15|35|29|-6 |16|35|35|0 |17|35|35|0 |18|35|35|0
