Any plans to give functionality to Akali's E?

This is not about Akali being OP/UP or needing a buff/nerf.

After the removal of its ability to proc Q, it's now a straightforward AoE damage ability with no additional functionality or synergy with the rest of her kit, making it one of the most boring skills in the game. Katarina's W proc her Q and gives her a movement buff, Zed's E synergizes with his W and slows enemies. Is Riot considering adding anything to this skill to make it interesting to use?

It's possible that I'm wrong and her E actually serves a critical purpose in her current kit. I'm interested if any Akali mains want to share their thoughts on this.

Her E is the most useless ability in the game atm it does worthlessly low damage, and spends energy, and makes her stop moving for a moment

Her E is absolutely clunky. I only use the skill if I know it will deal enough damage to kill them. There's no reason to use it outside of clearing waves.

I said the moment that they removed the buff they did in 2012 akali would become unplayable and and ignored by 90%+ of the community. Point made. They should make her E have interactions with Q/W/R or something.

how about just leave it alone because a lot of champions have one or two useless ass mfkn abilities but they still function in game because their other abilities are great.

akali is old design. they didnt know wtf they were doing back then and just threw abilities onto a champ because they looked cool.

Yeah, her E is incredibly useless. You are better of building her hybrid/bruiser atm. Meaning, you get Gunblade and Triforce and then go tanky.

Completely agree. I think it was the right decision to remove the ability to detonate Mark of the Assassin with Crescent Slash, but without that functionality it's not very compelling. The ability now gives mediocre wave clear, mediocre damage in a rotation, and mediocre spellvamp on a mediocre cooldown with a mediocre energy cost. I would love to see it have some sort of relationship with Twilight Shroud to add some more synergy to her kit, but I'm unsure of what that might entail.

I am an Akali main and I mainly use her E for CS and spamming it in fights. Adding further functionality to her E would make Akali more enjoyable and give her a full 4-move combo to utilize. Rito pl0x

Akali only surged in popularity (and ban popularity) because of the mana regen nerfs earlier in the season. Now that Athene's has been improved and mages are starting to come back(?), Riot should rethink the earlier nerfs. Also, without E detonating Mark of the Assassin, she feels clunky to play.

It would be interesting if they made an interaction between her W and E, where if her E is used within a certain timespan (within 0.75 seconds) after coming out of the veil (or using it to be revealed), it will deal additional damage (perhaps +15/25/35/45/55% increased damage?). Scaling may have to be excluded from the bonus damage though. Keep in mind they'd have to make true sight make her lose the bonus damage, even if the veil had just been placed.

Let me put it like this- it could be changed, not saying it should be changed but if it was I doubt the community would be upset about losing it or changing it like say Blitzcrank W or Veigar stun.

Maybe even just nerf the proc damage. It used to be pretty insane once you got a few kills. They took away her main form of harass during laning phase (Q and E), and cut her chase potential.

I would be cool with another mark being added on her E (Allowing for lich to be proc'd after E).

But I don't play akali, so that's none of my business.
