Fire or thunder on ap

Two keystones and different scaling. Death fire scales with 20% ap. Thunderlords is 10% ap but 10 damage per a level. Which is better on mages.

Thunderlords on most mages except for maybe things like Swain or with a lot of dot

Entirely dependent on whether or not you can spam skills or not, another variable is if your champion has a DoT effect

DFT works wonders on the champions that does dot, have a constant way to proc it or single target damage spells, because it will scale incredibly strong. After the buff, this going to be much more stronger on single target spells users. Anivia doing her R>E combo will get aditional 25% scaling, making it up to 1.5 Ap damage every 4 seconds, this is going to be truly trolololo.

Azir taking thunder would be better for you poke in lane. i can't see why fire would be good for him? Vladimir same as azri

people will say preference and dependant on a lot of things. but if you don't have DoT there is no reason to not pick thunderlords. more damage all around. except maybe for a few.
