"The Kog maw buffs still leave him worse than he was in 8.2"

That isn't the point, the point is that if they're going to give him back some power, they should do it in healthier ways than buffing his fucking right-click to heaven W.

They could have buffed his R, or even his Q, OR EVEN his E. You know, all those abilities which are skillshots which kogmaw tends to almost completely ignore when his W is broken.

Hell, they could do something like "for each consecutive R you hit on an enemy champion within 5 seconds, the damage is increased by 25%, up to a maximum of 75%"

And completely break AP Kog'maw. Good idea!

Except that wouldn't break AP kogmaw because AP kogmaw is very skillshot reliant and AP kogmaw got fucked by a massive E nerf some time ago. Besides, you can always play around with the AD/AP scaling.

Breaking AP kogmaw would be flat buffing his ultimate, tying his ultimate to hitting consecutive ultimates wouldn't really break any form of kogmaw, rather, it would give the kogmaw an incentive to do something other than press W and alt tab.

Keep in mind that this would go IN PLACE of rebuffing his W.

If anything, buffing his R (outside of buffing its AP scale) while keeping W in check would bring back triforce auto-weaving kogmaw which actually wasn't too unhealthy to face.

well i guess Zoe doesn't need any nerfs because her Q is a skillshot. We should actually revert any nerfs that are coming towards her.

Non sequitur, Zoe can set up her Q easily with a 3 second stun. Kogmaw has no hard CC in his kit to guarantee his R, and his R consistently costs more mana on consecutive casts.

Zoe can spam her Q endlessly without having to worry about ramping mana costs.

i guess we shouldn't nerf Zoe because her Q is a skillshot. Lets revert all of her nerfs

Again non sequitur, repeating your awful argument ad nauseum isn't going to make it more right.

it's better than someone who is mad because they are buffing the main ability of someone so they want dumb buffs that won't accomplish anything in the slightest

Ah .. maybe like a 75% damage boost as you suggested?

Only if you refuse to play around with the scalings.

And AP kogmaw would be much better served with a flat buff that can be felt on the first ult.

One of riot's philosophies appears to be that they want to maintain a specific "niche" of a character by keeping a certain ability powerful. E.G. Zoe Q damage and Lee Sin R.

It makes sense why they would do this. If they load a bunch of power onto one champion's ability or a specific chain of their abilities, it separates them from other champions.

It's not up to me to decide if this is healthy or unhealthy. I will not choose.

If they wanted to change his general play pattern, sure.

But, I'd hazard the guess that Riot is overall content with Kog'Maw's way of playing and his profile of strengths and weaknesses. Thus, they don't want or need to put the power somewhere else, and merely adjust the impact level of the nerf.
