Akali is one of those champions that can never be "good"
So when is the rework?
She is a champion who snowballs so hard that she can carry games in a solo pubstomp while in every other game people realize
exists and she becomes useless

The problem with Akali is:
If (Akali stats > Your stats) Then (You die without being able to escape)
Her design is fundamentally pants-shittingly stupid. It's probably the worst designed kit in the game, worse than yorick and riven and vayne.
agreed, I like her playstyle but I feel filthy when I do play her Ill always end up getting FB'ed then when I hit 6 and get 3 stacks, it's literally a kill every time an immobile midlaner isn't hugging their tower

flash combined with ranged assassination on a 3 second cooldown. if his kit is strong enough to work its automatically broken.
"my early game is rng, my lategame is splitpush because i cant actually carry."
"hail satan"
I don't understand why the community hates point-and-click champions so much.
The whole "ball of stats" is just another cringe-worth term Riot coined that means fuck all. Lux is a ball of stats that will outstat and kill you if she hits her abilities.
Akali is a ball of stats that will outstat you if a) get within the short range of her and ) allow her to double Q you out of the safety of your turret and/or teammates.
There is nothing wrong her doing her job (assassinating squishies). She doesn't bring a lot of utility, like say, Orianna, Lissandra, Ekko, who are all capable of 100-0ing you and getting away with it safely or CC'ing the entirety of your team.

Do you really not see the difference between "Lux will outstat and kill you if you get in her range and she hits her abilities" and "Akali will outstat and kill you if you get in her range"? The ability for Lux to actually fail is what sets her apart from Akali, or rather the inability for Akali to fail is what sets her apart from everyone else.
"Skillshots = counterplay" is overstated but champions like Lux don't just decide that they want to kill you and kill you if their numbers are high enough - Akali does. It's a huge difference. You may not think it is but there's a reason that a massively overtuned Lux has a tiny ban rate while an Akali that's even moderately capable is banned in 50% of games. There's a lack of agency in facing Akali.
p.s. I'm posting this as someone who quite likes Akali/is hoping to play her much more after her rework. I don't think she's the most cancerous champion in the game, but I think it's silly even as a fan of the champion to deny her "ball of stat" nature.
Probably after Shen.
Every champion who can get onto you is a stat check to see if they can kill you, lol.
