550 gold tier two boots without stats (greater boots of speed?)

EDIT: title misleading, just to specify: these boots would be inserted in between tier two and boots of speed.

mercs treads cost too much XD too big a tax before dps item. yet if your build is such that you need mr from boots then it sucks having to delay your core dps items to get the mobility you need to keep up with everyone else with cheaper boots. also early game you might not need the tenacity as much versus your lane, might just be for later in the game, but you still need the movement speed.

Could classify this as a QOL change really.

unless you need mr from boots late game. and considering resell costs it makes it a pretty big investment. boots of mobility can be quite harsh too on certain champs particularly those with no dash that have no way to disengage, if an engage goes sour they are in a pickle.

not so much looking for speed as much as the standard movement that everyone get with tier 2 boots.

Unless you are proposing that all boots would build from your new boots, wouldn't you still need to sell them and buy other boots later on?

oops my bad ya title kind of off. it would be inserted in between tier two and boots of speed. so yes all boots would build from these new boots

early game pinching pennies is pretty important. And i dont mean not buying wards. Its important that people buy wards but taxing people early like that for a stat like tenacity that won't really be felt depending on your role like as a jungler your ganking your typically the one doing the threat. In those rare games where you absolutely do need tenacity to get through their cc while ganking by all means complete the mercs. but if not id like to be on an equal footing haha no pun intended. also if your melee you need movement just to stay on someone to auto.

or make 25 mr boots like tabis without tenacity but with like 5% aoe magic damage reduction at the same cost as tabis
