in Plat+ play alone he not only got 5x the play but his winrate went up 3% as well, now he's sporting some of the highest stats of midlaners, especially with the 4th highest banrate.
He's ban-worthy and certainly nerf-worthy.

It's never about perceived fairness, it's about facts and numbers. If they added 300 damage to his q, he wouldn't be immune to a follow up nerf just because the community cries to make him get the buff in the first place. If Riot overshot the mark when buffing veigar, and it looks like they did going by his performance at high elo, then it makes sense to tone him down a bit - perhaps by lowering the amount of ap he gets on assist.

? There's a difference between doing good and being fantastic. Veigar is simply too good right now.
Also, Annie's damage isn't just as high. Not even close.
That being said she does need a nerf too. Has for a while now.

everything in his kit is about landing the stun that he has in his kit, yes it is a good zoning tool but so are azir soldiers or oriana ball like theres a lot of zoning tools that a lot of these mages have.
Before saying but scorpion not of these zoning tools have a stun attached to it look to ekko or oriana or morgana ulty.
But Scorpion none of these mages have the burst that veigar does, again i disagree oriana with one shockwave can put more aoe dmg in two spells then veigar can and can one shot squishies just as hard.
so just make it so it gives like 1 ap on assist and see where that leaves him then and only then will i accept number nerfs to him because then it would purely only be about his numbers his kit is one of the healthiest atm...
